Hi Guys
Been on more or less 100% fruit now for 6 days.
During this time I had one day 'off', 3 days ago where I was out socialising, had some cooked food. Last night I had some lentils and brown rice. So, in 6 days, 3 cooked meals, the rest 100% raw and 99% fruit. I have been only eating one type of fruit at a time, sometimes mixing on different days. I have also been having some salad leaves and plenty of water. I have had NO weight loss. I have also upped my exercise regime dramatically, and am out brisk walking for at least 2-3 hours every day.
Was it that 'one day off' that ruined it for the whole of the six days? Should I have been on a mono fruit island only? Has anyone else had similar problems when transitioning? I know Freelea says don't go on the scales, but I was just curious as I felt like I had lost weight and I def feel fitter! My asthma symptoms have also subsided dramatically (hurray!!) and my candida is becoming more controlled..and I feel great on the inside...calmer and more at peace, happier all round...just shocked at the no weight loss!
Anyone with any advice for this transition period? Forget about the weight issue altogether and just carry on upping my high fruit and eventually the weight will start to drop off?
Help please...:-(
Many thanks :-)

Hhahahah 6 days, u serious man, weightloss comes and goes but dont force yourself to lose weight, everytime you do that its like you pay it back in interst, just to lose to gain, When on this lifestyle what i beilve in the long run have you seen anyfat fruties,???
How are you doing now Kiwi? :)
My advice is don't worry about weight. For some people it just takes longer. Just be active, eat enough calories, have fun and love life!
This may have been said but I would simply add that muscle weighs more than fat. You are shedding fat and gaining muscle. In the initial stages if you just look at the scale one could imagine nothing is happening. This muscular engine you are creating will gradually increase and burn more calories. There will be a tipping point and the weight will gradually come off. Your main concern will switch from losing weight to getting enough calories. Don't know if you're already doing this but early AM exercise will keep metabolism high all day.
Stay with us for 6 months!!!!
You're on the right path... this is NOT A DIET!!!
You said it yourself...it's about lifestyle change!!! You can starve yourself and do a bunch of crazy stuff, which I've done plenty of, but the only way to lose weight AND GET HEALTHY....long term, is LIFESTYLE CHANGE. More water, more sleep, more raw carbs, and LESS FAT! And exercise more, SMILE MORE!!!!
Thanks for posting!!! You are in the right place where you belong! I started on this site a few months ago... I ate 50 bananas yesterday!!!! Blended them, drank them down, and havd a great time doing it!!! Keep it strange family, let's not go back to our old way of thinking!!!
They are right....hang in there though. It is rough at first - but it takes alot of time to come off depending on your level of health and how fast your body heals. I have been HCRV for almost 90 days and have only lost 6 pounds. So this lifestyle is about restoring your health - not a weight focused lifestyle, but it will come when it is time.
So be patient....you can do it!!!
Hi Frances
Thank you for your reply!
Today I feel LOADS better!! From all the replies I def feel 're focused' and KNOW that all will fall into place and it is def starting to, health wise. I haven't felt so much better in YEARS!! Other health issues are clearing and the only thing I really do need to work on fully is the amount of fruit I eat, I am probably still not eating enough, so addressing that.
I am def going to hang on in there...and thanks for your support, very much appreciated!
:-)
Anytime....I do understand. It is an adjustment and will take time. It is hard sometimes not to think about the weight, but overtime it does get easier. You are doing the right thing by asking questions and being open to advice. Let me know if you have any more questions. Always happy to help...:)
It took Freelea over 1 year before she started losing weight, but she saw the health benefits immediately so she kept up with the lifestyle. You are getting healthier! Focus on better health and feeling better. The weight will come off in due time, but it won't help having you stress about it.
Hi Dan
Thank you for your reply! VERY much appreciated!
I wanted to hear of other's experience and if it took Freelea a good while before any weight started to come off then, again, this is not like other 'diets' as it def seems so much about general health and well being and NOT simply a diet to lose weight.
I was a tad dissapointed and was just wondering if I should be doing anything else..etc..but from the replies, obviously not.
Not stressin', just sayin'...lol
Cheers :-)
