One issue I've seen is about 50% of people seem to deny global climate change. I've been arguing with these people all day and night long for the last few days. Yet, there seems no end to their arguments.
I find it very hard to sell people on vegetarian/vegan issues if they don't believe the environment is important. Any advice?

Resources for arguing with climate change deniers. First the iopscience a journal that I assume is a peer reviewed article affirming the 97% climate change scientist number. There is a lot of articles on the skepticalscience.com site. Use the format
site:skepticalscience.com medieval
to search on your favorite search engine. Replace the word medieval with whatever search term you want. The third is the nasa site with beautiful pictures. Thanks for reading and thanks for letting me use the forums to store this information for later use.

Victory of a sorts. I couldn't get the climate change deniers to change their minds. Yet, I did get them to be quiet. Which is the most you can expect from any argument. Took a lot of time and perseverance, but for now I got a few of them to give up.
I've noticed the same pattern with Young Earth Creationists and Paleos. They send 200 or so bad arguments at you and you just have to shred them over and over. You won't change their minds, but at least you get them to give up, and have some fun while your at it.
nvm spoke too soon. They were just catching their breath.
Rather than argue with climate change deniers on their terms, I found a quick way to more or less prove they are acting as industry shills.
Every conspiracy theorist wants his/her theory proved correct.
climate change deniers are conspiracy theorists
climate change deniers don't push for their theory to be proven via lowering of Co2
Therefore, climate change deniers are not conspiracy theorists and must be industry shills
A video of Bill Nye tipped me off to this. The best way to tell who is right is to lower Co2. That means that climate change deniers should push the most for Co2 reduction regulation. The fact that they don't is extremely suspicious and almost certainly makes them industry shills.
I think this is the wrong video, but I know I heard it somewhere.

I suggest that you argue for animal rights. Most if not all vegans choose to be vegan for the sake of animals.
The problem is that the arguments tends to fall upon party lines. I keep ending up on these ultra conservatives websites where I am seen as the enemy. As seen as I mention vegan I am labeled as a liberal. I found plenty of people that will argue all day long that animals are not sentient and God gave us dominion over all animals, and so forth.
Liberal
Animals are sentient
Global climate change will be our doom
Evolution
Conservative
Animals are mindless automatons provided by God for human use
Climate change is a fraudulent hoax
Creationism
In short, we end up arguing these three large dividing lines between liberals and conservatives all day and night long. The idea of attacking on a single front seems impossible, the battle always end up spewing into these divisive categories.
I use source from a website like the EPA (environmental protection agency) and they call it liberal propaganda machine. They use a source from an ultra conservative site, and I call them out on it. There seems no end to the conflict. Neither side will back down and even when an argument is thoroughly defeated, it is resurrected again and again in additional to new arguments.
Thanks for listening.
Officially giving up trying to argue with climate change deniers. They make about fifty arguments at a time, spreading a cloud of confusion. I can tell by their tactics they aren't even trying to convince me. Just trying to make me waste my time. Just like the paleos often do.
Maybe, if I get an amateur one I can defeat one or two of their arguments. The better ones I can't even manage that. Before I know it we are arguing about global warming on Mars and dust storms on Mars.
You are highly unlikely to change the mind of these people. They have invested so much time in their ideological beliefs which they won't give up easily. Cognitive dissonance is a powerful psychology mechanism; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_dissonance
Below is an example on Australian television earlier this week. Even for experts and the well informed it's difficult to argue against someone with strong ideological beliefs;

Malcolm Roberts is a newly elected senator in the Australian parliament. Hopefully this sort of belief is an extreme view and only represents a fringe cohort - I think is the case.
Thanks for the warning Peter. I'm beginning to understand a few concepts now. First few times I argued with Creationists I got the equivalent of Malcolm Roberts but for Creationists. I was really confused, because the Creationist knew more about evolution than I did. Obviously I lost the argument by a landslide. Can you imagine the layperson trying to argue against Malcolm Roberts?
Anyways, I think I am going to try to find a more productive use of my time, I'm getting totally annihilated by the Climate Change Deniers. It is like trying to fight Mike Tyson as a regular person. Their knowledge of the subject area is just so much vast than mine.
Here's the video you need to watch if your the layperson that should destroy the key components of the climate change deniers. Showing them this video won't stop them from steamrolling you, but for reasonable person they will understand the lengths the deniers will go to.
Understand the climate denial industry is using professional deceivers. You will not win against these foes as a layperson without massive amounts of time and energy invested. Same goes for Creationists in my opinion. Another good example is the flat Earth people.
