Hey, I was watching the DvD Kickstart your Health with Dr. Neal Barnard. Low fat diets help reduce blood viscosity. High fat diets increase the viscosity. H viscosity is bad because, "Some studies have linked moderate to high blood viscosity with cardiovascular problems and sometimes people can develop a medical condition known as hyperviscosity syndrome. In people with this condition, thickened blood leads to health problems ranging from visual anomalies to coma." wisegeek.org retrieved Sept 20, 2015.
Saturated fat leads to thick blood "Eating saturated fat has been linked to viscous blood and risk for high blood pressure, according to the World Health Organization, as compared to polyunsaturated fats. "James Hamblin Feb 24, 2014 theatlantic.com
To summarize avoid animal products and other products like vegetable oils which contain saturated fats. Saturated fat in turn make your blood thicker also called higher viscosity. High blood viscosity leads to high blood pressure. Eating vegan will lower your blood pressure.
