            <title>Anyone know any fruit subsitutes for dates and bananas?</title>

            <title>Ideas for high-carb and low-fat versions of what my boyfriend enjoys?</title>

            <content type="html">&lt;div&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hi everyone,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I eat nearly always monomeals, except when I make a green smoothie or lettuce with red peppers. My boyfriend is vegan, but not HCLF. I accept that because being vegan is what counts. He accepts my lifestyle and keeps gaining more and more of an understanding for my situation and why I choose this lifestyle. Nevertheless he's convinced he could never give up noodles (he's half Italian and was raised eating lots of Italian food).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Although he eats more fruit since we're together and we share fruits together, he doesn't want to be a monoeater, as he loves a variety of tastes at once. He also enjoys making/creating dishes (which isn't really my thing). He has mentioned a few times at how its sometimes not easy for him due to the fact that we often eat different things because he's not used to that. That's not a problem for me at all though, since I always ate differently than others - whether in relationships, friendships, at school, at work etc. He once said he comes in conflict (with himself/with his choices) when we sit down together to eat and he just made himself a cooked dish (often with oil and sometimes salt as well, which he knows I don't eat) and I eat my mono fruit meal.  He doesn't say that to find fault with me or anything like that, we're just always open and honest with each other. He sometimes complains about himself having eaten too much of a dish he made. Of course, if it were HCLF there would be no need to complain, when were HCLF AND raw there would be no reason whatsoever to worry or complain. But as an ex-anorexic and also being sensitive to his occasional self-conflicts (&quot;raw: to be or not to be&quot;), I don't know the right thing to say, so I usually comfort him and change the subject.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My boyfriend knows I enjoy monomeals the most not only because I enjoy them, but because monomeals are usually really good on my digestion, as I previously had huge digestive problems (likely due to my years of eating disorders before I found 30BaD). Nevertheless I have thought quite a while about what he said about it not being easy for him that we often eat different meals. Because of that I said to him one day that I would be up to do a compromise. The compromise would be I could still eat my monomeals, but (at least to begin with) he could make me a HCLFRV recipe (as he said he would love to be able to make me something and receive feedback for it) or we could make it together. He agreed on that and is especially anxious to try zucchini-noodle dishes (since he is an avid noodle-lover). He also says he's willing to do it as long as we both agree with the ingredients (he knows I'm particular about food combining, that I'm overt-free, and that I'm allergic to citrus fruits, pineapple, and kiwi). I'm anxious (in both ways) about our compromise.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm anxious (excited) that he'll have the opportunity to make me something or we make something together (whichever he prefers). I'm anxious (nervous) due to the possibility that my stomach responds hypersensitively. I once tried dateorade with persimmon and I had to lie down with an upset stomach. But I feel some trial and error is all about learning.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;^^I'm more anxious (excited) than anxious (nervous). ;)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Now more to the meaning of the titel of this discussion.......&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What my boyfriend loves include:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;- pasta dishes (with tomato/marinara sauce or with pesto/ especially Italian)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;- potato chips (all kinds that are vegan, he mostly eats plain salted or with red pepper flavour)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;- rice dishes (he eats more pasta than rice, but when he makes rice dishes he often mixes that with veg and tomato paste)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;^^ Does anyone have any alternatives/recipes for the foods that my boyfriend eats?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content>

            <title>Beware, cat litter can kill you, nasty stuff!!!  Who uses alternatives?  What do you recommend?</title>

            <content type="html">&lt;div&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;I was spending a lot of time at a friend's home who I knew to use natural cleaning products.  Her house had a really yucky toxic smell that I just couldn't put my finger on.  After a few visits, it clicked, it was her cat litter.  She kept her cat litter in the basement yet her whole house smelled like it and my clothing wreaked when I got home, the family would say I smelled &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;perfumey.  BTW she keeps a beautiful sparkling  clean home, cleans the litter regularly.  So I looked up cat litter's toxicity and what the alternatives are.  It turns out that it is deadly stuff and off gases everywhere, (obviously), bad for people, bad for the animals.  See below:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

A possible health threat from clay-based litters is posed by silica dust, which can be kicked up and breathed in by both cats and humans. Prolonged exposure to silica dust causes silicosis, a cancerous &amp;amp; fatal lung disease. Silicosis creates inflammation and scar tissue formation in the lungs, reducing the body’s ability to extract oxygen from the lungs. As the disease progresses, pulmonary and cardiac impairment may occur to the point where oxygen must be supplied continuously to sustain life. Once silicosis has developed there is no cure for the disease; however, silicosis is preventable if one can reduce silica dust exposure.
