Hello people,

In the past I had a dr.Atkins diet for about 3 years. This means low carb, only vegetables and meat/dairy. It was hard for me to keep this diet and I constantly craved sugar. At a certain point when it was Christmas I binged on a lot of cookies, bread and cakes, all with gluten in them. Stupid cause at that time I haven't eaten gluten for such a long time!

This upset my body so much that after Christmas I couldn't eat anything at all, my stomach was burning like hell each time I put something in my mouth, even drinking water caused problems.

I lost a lot of weight and I looked horrible. My right tonsil suddenly started to produce a lot of mucus and it clogged up. I think I've basically damaged my whole immune system.

Now when I look in the mirror, my right tonsil is not much bigger then my left(which works fine) but it looks a bit redder. Slime continuously comes out of it. In the mornings the slime is dark yellow and the rest of the day it's transparent and thick. I can feel it clogging up. And it reeks! The back of my throat literally smells like fart!(only the right side of my throat with the bad tonsil) especially when I turn my head to the right

I'm a year vegan now, and I would think that it would heal by now but it hasn't.

I drink a lot of water(maybe I should drink more). And goggling seems to work for a minute but then it comes back.

It's for sure annoying because I'm basically farting out my mouth. Not pleasant for me, not pleasant for others. It makes me feel insecure.

Does anybody know good things that can help this tonsil heal faster?

My first week of Banana island, has been horrible. Because I'm bad.

But why? Apparently, my bananas have gone bad. I must be a nincompoop. But, I am asking for detailed advice, pictures, videos, any help. I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the lifestyle and am finally getting to live it out. Unfortunately I dont know a few things for certain.

I have gastritis that has come to agonizing fruition through too much raw greens. (I have been recovering for two years now...) Before I had come to awareness of 30bads existence I had tried other diets as well, that have backfired. Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar cocktails will destroy your stomach. I read about gastritis and know that banana island should help my condition that I've been told is "minor" in comparison to others who HAVE in the past recovered. I'm lead to believe there is hope, for both recovery and healing.

My intestines are extremely irritable and I can't eat any cooked food without, in my opinion, extreme pain. I bit through my lower lip, teeth and all, I would prefer that to this pain. My ever omniscient gastroenterologist prefers to give me pills instead of advice. I don't blame him for being a pusher, but I really don't value any of his advice. He doesn't seem to know whats going on with me. My whiskey nana's have done more for me in a week than the pills in the past few years.

So I need to know, because all I can eat are bananas, how much and how frequently do all of you buy bananas on "banana island" to have a steady flow of, sugary not Alcoholic, food coming your way? When does the fruit look and taste proper?

Pictures would help, If I could jump through Freelee's camera and snatch a few of her bananas to see whats right, I would be able to know. But, I can't do that and in my inexperience, I can't tell if my alcoholic bananas are alcoholic or if I'm just getting too used to them like my family, that doesn't know and/or want to know anything about 30bad, has told me.

I sat my bananas in the corner of my room by the window, next to where I sit and work. One night, I noticed my head felt like it was on fire, I noticed that I was feeling sick at the smell of these bananas (From Walmart, ! ) I was feeling lightheaded and weak the smell seemed to burn my nose. I decided to clear a space in my closet out of desperation -and in my ignorance- so that the smell would go away. It didn't. What I got the following morning weren't greenish/yellow/squishy nanners anymore, but over night ripe nanas. They went in yellow and came out zebra. They were soft, but with Deep black blotches, not leopard spots, and a smell you can only get from whiskey. Have the banana's noxious fumes mushed my brains or have I just gotten bored of them. Are they truly bad? Or am I simply mad?

So, How do I store them properly? What are the do's and dont's? I can't -and wont force on my family- to trade a dining room for a nanner storage. They are willing to make something work with me, but how do I do it right? I know, colds bad and sticking in the closet is no good and plastic bags are nanner genocide.

Pictures of perfect or minimalistic storage's from you guys would be amazing. I read one person saying they get them immediately out of plastic and cut them into single bananas, putting green ones on the bottom of their stacks.

Should I stack bananas at all? I fear that I will get the same effect. Does Walmart take shortcuts and exclusively have horrible bananas? (Chiqita didn't seem to have these issues -I'm going to BJ's next)

I really want to live out this life style, I want to get better and none of the NWO medical mafia wants to help. Whisey nanners work with my intestines unlike Applesauce that, in my experience, will probably irritate with my condition.

What do, guys?

This is my very first post, If this lifestyle works for me then I plan on documenting information on my situation as well as getting pictures for the community of my life before and after my dieting. As well as making videos on what would work for me for other newbies like me, who need details and specifics and pictures. Call me a special snowflake if you want, I'm more than willing to speak about the benefits of the lifestyle. From what I've heard it works.

I'm not looking back, It's all or nothing. Neither my gastro, or health care doctor can or will help me. My gastro pushes pills, my healthcare wants to get me on anti-depressants. I know what she's doing. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

-for referencing my datadump-

A. How many nanners do I buy at one time, how frequent

(Tell me how it worked for you, please!)

B. Best/Optimum Storage?

(How do I keep em from going sour and smashin each other?)

(How have you guys been able to keep them non-nasty)

Ok. I'm really confused here. I was watching a show I had DVR'd back on April 19th where she interviews a doctor who wrote the book Grain Brain. He talked about how ALL carbs are bad for you and Carol agrees. I thought she was raw vegan. That means a fruit eater, right?! He promotes animal products and fats, including butter. Does nobody else see the discrepancy here? It was so great (I thought) to think there was a celeb promoting raw vegan but now I don't know. Please respond.Meanwhile, I need to go and meditate to calm myself down. I mean, she even had David Wolfe on an episode who talks about glucose and how we need carbs to feed our brains.Ok. I take a deep breath and relax. I'm finally following a high carb low fat lifestyle and it seems to be so awesome but then this. I guess I need to step back and remember that we create our reality and maybe for some, this works and for me, my reality is high carb low fat raw vegan.

For one, when I ripened a box of bananas up in a garbage bag they all smelled really weird, but I didn't see any visible mold. I just threw them out but is it safe to assume they were all bad? Lately I've just been throwing them in a box with some towels on the bottom and top so they can breathe but I still notice that the majority of them end up being black in the middle. Why do they end up being black in the middle? Is this some form of mold or decay? Are they still fine to eat? Is this happening because of the way I'm ripening them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For 2 weeks now I've been eating fully raw, at least 2000-3000 calories everyday, except yesterday and today it's been really hard for me to eat, I haven't had much of an appetite. More so it's just that food doesn't seem appealing to me right now. Yesterday I had 1L of tangerine juice (with pulp of course) for breakfast, and I was fine, but when I tried to eat lunch (10 pears) I only got through 4 or 5 before I had to stop. So I went and bought some dates because I figured "I can usually slam those in" but same thing. Normally I can eat upwards of 30 in one sitting but I only managed to eat about 15 and that was in the course of an hour. They don't even seem like they'd taste good. I also ate lettuce wraps for dinner last night. I chopped a bunch of vegetables up and put some lemon and lime juice on them and wrapped them in iceberg. That was all I could manage to eat. Similar today. Only I haven't eaten yet :( when I woke up this morning I had a thick white coating on my tongue and I can tell my breath stinks. I'm also groggy and have some gas. I don't know what could be causing the lack of appetite but can you guys suggest any foods that are easy on the stomach or things you can eat even when you feel yucky? Is it okay to not eat a lot if you don't feel well if it's only for a little while?

On Tuesday (Dec. 18) I bought five boxes of mangoes, approximately 50-mangoes in total. All were hard-unripe but seemed fine (flawless). I’ve kept them in a heated room since Tuesday to ripen them, although they remain unripe.

The problem is, some of them have developed soft/squidgy areas (bad areas) while the rest of the mango remains unripe. The problem started with three or four but now more than twice that number have developed these bad areas while their bulk remains unripe. I despair!

I often have problems with mangoes, in that they never ripen but just go ‘off’. The variety I have had these past few weeks are notorious for this problem (I don’t know the variety because in the UK a mango is a mango, apparently…). In my previous order (of five boxes) some of them were fine and gave me no cause to complain, while a large number had to be thrown away. This is typical and suggests that the problem isn’t caused by anything I’m doing.

It seems I’m just throwing my money away order after order, on crap organic fruit which just goes straight into the bin leaving me under-carbed and stressed out. Does anyone know why I’m having this problem; does anyone know why these mangoes go off before ripening? What the hell did the grower/distributor/transporter do to them, or not do to them? See attached images for three example problem mangoes:

Mangoes 1.jpg

They want evidence, I completely understand that, and I want that as well.

Has anyone found any recent studies regarding cooked foods, aside from the digestive leukocytosis study from the 1930's, that explains why it has such adverse effects on our bodies? Maybe even on raw food dieters to show the severity of the effects after a longer period on a clean lifestyle?

I doubt that my body is telling me something wrong when I get cramps after a cooked food meal, but I would like to have a clear and valid study to explain why cooked is not optimal.
Otherwise people like Dr. Greger will come knocking on my door to say that "raw foods are nutritionally inadequate" and I should eat cooked...

Night before last, i was craving "sushi" like no other, and made myself 4 nori rolls with zucchini, cucumber, nori, carrot and i decided to use up the last of my pickled ginger. Well, mistake i made was the pickled ginger, and dipping it in Wasabi, spicy mustard and nama shoyu. BIG MISTAKE!!

I had finished a banana smoothie previous to that and ate the "sushi" very late in the PM (around 9-10ish)

I woke up in the morning and made my normal smoothie (banana, oj and berries) which doesn't exactly meet food combo requirements, but never ever made me feel sick before.

I got to work and noticed i was feeling VERY bloated in the upper portion of my stomach. VERY bloated (like 7 months pregnant) it was poking out so far i had to hide it with my coat so i wouldn't get people asking me how far along i was.

My stomach was hurting SO MUCH that i even went to the bathroom and vomited. (let me preface this with the fact that i have only been LFRV for about 1 month and have felt very good in this month)

The entire rest of the day i was sick. Nauseous, VERY bloated, couldn't keep even water down. getting a slight headache and very ill feeling. Hard for me to even work.

I get home and go to bed. today i feel slightly hungover (maybe 15 hours of sleep was too much) but i am realizing, NO SALT. only SODIUM from celery, tomatoes etc. I really shouldn't have done it, but it taught me a lesson.

Food combining is VERY important. I didn't realize until yesterday that i need to take it more seriously. I was saying "well im still in transition".. but you can't be in transition forever.

Breakfast today is 1/2 a large watermelon. Going to drink tons of water today, and properly combine food.

Just thought i should share. Very bad deal, don't wish it upon anyone. This is the first time in the last 35 days or so that i have been eating LFRV that i have felt HORRIBLE.

I should ALSO add that since then i have some canker like sores in my mouth, the tip of my tongue feels raw and i have some vision issues (like it screwed me up royally) i ALSO forgot that i added FAR too much Avocado into the sushi rolls (like 1.5 avocados into 4 rolls.

BAD BAD BAD

But this kind of work is going to both be not good for my health, im going to be up all nights untill the mornings, its totally gonna be bad for my personality and feelings and how i feel inside of me, i would feel bad about myself, really really bad. I´d also have to drink alcohol almost every night, in little or small dozes (i already gave up drinking), and i´d have to handle second hand smoking for many hours a day. (i gave up smoking myself and my lungs are really bad).

I really really dont want to do this job, i´ve been there before, and i broke out in rash and had to go to the hospital to get steroid shots to make it go away ( im an allergy person, but they couldnt find a reason, i think it was the place i worked at or just my body telling me this is not for me)

This job again, pays REALLY well if your hard working.

This might be a clear choice for most of you, but can you then please tell me, those of you who DONT have money in the bank or people to look to for help, and are in my situation where you will be on zero and most likley not be able to maintain this 80/10/10 lifestyle when the money is OUT. What will i eat then? nothing.. :S i have nothing in the freezer except for small amount of fruit, i gave everything i had "SAD" food up in exhange for fruits and veggies this month cause i was already having problems with money.

It has definitely improved a lot since starting 811 100%, although progress is very slow. I'm not expecting it to sort itself out overnight, just curious as to how long I can expect before I have skin that's actually a good advert for the lifestyle!

Thanx!

I'm just circulating this question around since it has been flowing through my head a lot this week.

I know that I could always increase my water intake to ensure that I am always well hydrated, but I was wondering if this bad posture of mine has always been a result of dehydration, or just the carrying of excess weight? I've lost roughly 36 kilos / 80 lbs so far and I'm at 200lbs (22.9% body fat) at the moment...

Been consistently practicing daily body strengthening and weight training in accordance with cardio interval training over the past two months, and I do notice *some* improvement...

Thanks! Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
