She has a problem, with her anal glands.

The "owner" of the dog went to doctors. The doctors all recommended hard medication. Now the dog also has problems, because of the medication.

The "owner" stopped the medication and asked for advice. I read, that small dogs and dogs witch are overweight, have problems with there anal glands.

The dog I am writing you about, is not small, but overweight.

I read it there http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2010/09/16/dog-anal-gland-problem.aspx

and there http://burnspet.co.uk/petcare/burns-pet-nutrition-advice/full-anal-glands.html

I showed the "owner" the articles.

They clearly say, that food and overweight are main causes of the problem.

The "owner" tried to solve the problem with a different diet. But the problem is: She does not see, that her dog is to fat.

Now she gives her dog especially Coconut Oil, Butter and whip cream, because she thinks, that fat would detox her dogs body.

She would be opened for advice, but what advice should I give her?

Thank you for recommendations.

I have found that this book is chocked full of info regarding this lifestyle. I also have gone through nearly ever post on this website dating back to the beginning, and found the knowledge from the original threads was like opening a treasure box.

Yes, this took a couple months to read through, and definitely not for everyone, but it was an investment to me for me, and have so much gratitude to have this info at my fingertips for FREE. Why would we attempt 80/10/10 without filling our minds with the guidelines to thrive and live an abundant life instead of winging it and hoping for the best?

To anyone that is extremely serious about succeeding in this, I highly recommend reading everything on this website, and the 80/10/10 book. I warned him that it would be vegan... And he agreed to it!Even though I'm half way through my nutrition diploma, I'm not confident on the raw till 4 plan for a large male who wants 1) to shred 2) to keep his gains and gain more muscle.I know what I eat is great for me and other females, who want to maintain, but I'm stuck when it comes to what he's asking for!He wants at least 160g protein a day! I said I wouldn't include that much, explained why... But ended up calculating that he'd be averaging about 100g a day anyway (as he wants to be eating 4-5000 cals a day)I also warned him that he'd be eating A LOT and he's cool with that ...So any tips guys?Keep in mind he's a tradesman and really knows nothing about nutrition let alone how to prepare vegan foods .... We need quick and easy! And I forgot to mention - he's currently restricting his carbs like crazy (under 200g per day)... And is worried about putting on fat eating more carbsAny tips would be much appreciated !!

I would like to know this because I went 100% fruit with no transition seven months ago, and since then I have been detoxing way too much including juice fasting for two months and extreme calorie restriction throughout due to not having access to good fruit. Now the reason I ask is that the cooked carbs are very dense and I'm concerned about how they will affect my digestion after this period of detox and going so long without solid food. I mostly ate blended bananas and blended apples without the skin during these 7 months because I lost the enamel on my teeth.I have a theory that people who are used to eating cooked carbs can handle them and people who have had a raw diet for a long time BUT have detoxed very well can also handle them, but I am somewhere in the middle where my body is not used to them but it is also not in a vibrant state where it can handle everything because it's so clean.Any thoughts on this? I feel I shouldhsve just started with raw til 4 and done that for several years. Can my body go back to rice and potatoes now? The reason that it concerns me is because I have been involved with communities that maintain that cooked starches become glue in the intestines.

Around a month ago I started to develop some weird and serious problems on raw till 4. I have been raw till 4 for around 4 months now, I unfortunately have had some cheat days though, so I am not really sure what counts. I was not exactly doing raw till 4 though. I have having cooked things for lunch and dinner, lots or greens and some fruit with the cooked meals as well. I would only have around 1 fruit meal a day. It isn't the best quality fruit either because I have a meal plan at my college. I started getting some really wicked headaches and pain behind my eyes, and even vision problems. (I know very bad :(. ) Recently I have had pain in my joints as well, like really serious pain in my knee and hip. I ran at the gym recently and I believe I may have injured it there. I honestly really do not run that much at all either, so it seems strange that it would hurt so much. I also started getting pressure in my heart and chest. Now I have heart aches around everyday still! It sucks. Right now my family has convinced me to try and switch back to the standard american diet, and for the past three days my life has been horrible! I feel so tired all the time, no energy, my heart is still having issues, and my brain is so foggy. It is horrible. Lucky the pressure behind my eyes and my headaches have seemed to go away. I think it was high blood sugar. Also, the pain in my joints has subsided which is good. I was just wondering if you have any advice on this. I really don't want to go back to a SAD diet, but it seems like the only option right now :(
Any advice would be so so helpful!

(Side note: I have also been having teeth problems, any tips would be great!)
Thanks so much for your time
sincerely,
Lauren :)

I have been suffering from fairly bad, what seems like, indoor allergies. I dont know exactly what is triggering them. I have an outdoor job. I work as a garden educator. When Im outside I dont seem to have any problems. Every night when I go to sleep I wake up with clogged sinuses. I have tons of mucus, I sneeze, and blow my nose all morning. This is all right when I get up. Later at night when im inside my eyes start to burn and they remain that way until I close them for bed. Ive never experienced these kinds of allergies in my life. Ive been vegan for going on 8 years now. The allergies seemed to have started around when I adopted this diet. I cut out bananas last year because they were giving me perioral dermatitis and now it seems in a trade off, i received new, horrible allergies. I dont think its dehydration as I have to pee all the time and its always clear. I eat a lot of watery foods, and have a lot of water added to all my smoothies. I was thinking that maybe it has to do with a decrease in eating greens and veggies. As a regular vegan I always ate a lot of those but somehow Ive gotten away from that practice with this new diet. I eat a lot of fruit in the morning and then a starchy meal at night. Has anyone else experienced anything similar and have advice they can offer about foods that helped them? Obviously my body seems to be producing way too much histamine.

A day or two later, she brought up the subject again, mentioning that between the book and her son, she was learning some brand new concepts: such as it requiring over 400 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef, and the health ramifications of consuming meat.

She noted that now she could understand why people would choose to go vegan.

However, I COMPLETELY fell off the wagon and ate all sorts of disgusting foods including steak and processed crap. I'm traveling for work tomorrow so I'm hoping to get back on track here. I'm feeling defeated.

Hi everyone. So I've been HCV for a few months now, but no matter how much sweet fruit I eat during the day I still always crave something sweet after my cooked meal or evening salad. Recently I've been having only dates as I thought because of the low water content it would digest slowly with everything else in my stomach. I'm sure this probably isn't the case but I'm in need of some help please!! I'm in bed now and my stomach is stretched to severe discomfort. I have been really bloated the past week, I don't know if this is due to my period, detoxing or I'm just doing something wrong???!

Ive been vegan for years now :D and since i remember, i have really intense cravings for cooked Butternut Squash...

I do mono meals several times a weeks, but I try to eat less frecuent as I find craving it more and more.. I totally listen to my body so i do give in some times.. But i really wonder why?

Why do i crave that?

I also went thru a phase craving tomatoes, but Butternut Squash has been my secret craving for years! I love knowing different varieties, trying them, i even grow them! :)

I found out, btsquash has lots of calcium and chronometer shows that the only thing it lacks is vitamin D and B12 ( which i already take supplements for both so...)

I wonder about cravings as they say so much about us, our current health...

Do you have cravings? Do you associate them with something? ( low sodium, more carbs, more potassium, etc)
