Durianrider and freelee are my inspirations, but I literally never have any energy and im stationary all day because my mum doesnt want me to do anything as she thinks im underweight so therefore I should have some energy, but the truth is my parents just want me to eat what I ate before but I don't want to! People claim to have so much energy on this lifestyle, but i dont, even when I eat more fruit! I drink plenty of fluid mostly in the morning and before my evening meal to aid my digestion and I get at least 9hours of sleep every night, at the moment I have been going to bed as early as 8 but then I wake up at 6 (so an early riser because I crave my breakfast so much)!...I also get headaches and joint aches which I keep thinking might be linked to a lack of something as well but I'm so confused because the joint aches could just be because of the lack of activity, my heads such a mess, I can't concerntrate and have been prescribed anti depressants because of it someone please help!! I am 15, 5ft4 and 43kg what are your opinions? Also I can't keep my hands out the fruit bowl I feel like I'm binging I just want some reassurance too.

I've come from a Paleo diet in a bid to help with my Candida overgrowth.I gave myself a shot of Hydroxocobalamin a few weeks ago to see if that helped but it hasn't.My diet usually consists of 10-12 bananas for breakfast, 30-35 Medjool dates for lunch, freshly squeezed OJ and dates for snacks. For dinner I'll have 1 cup of rice with steamed sweet potato and greens with some lemon juice on top but I usually still have hunger pangs into the night. Dinner seems to be my hardest meal to feel satisfied, I'll feel full after the meal but a few hours afterwards I'll be ravenous. I've tried a 10-12 banana smoothie but the same thing happens. I'm drinking 3-3.5 Litres of water a day. Sleeping 8 hours a night. Exercising 3-4 days a week, usually do a 20 min HIIT circuit and walk for an hour in the morning.Any advice would be great.

I have been a successful 80/10/10'er before. For 2 months i did well. VERY well. I ate nothing but 100% 80/10/10, by the book. A few things here and there were altered, but i did fairly well. Then i stopped one day, the convenience of cooked food got me, and i haven't yet gone back to 80/10/10.

Since switching to the "convenient" i have suffered MASSIVE health problems.
MASSIVE.

I have developed "cluster headaches" which are the most intense pain i can ever describe. Feels that my left eyeball is popping out of my head.

Getting these headaches has led me to taking MASSIVE amounts of Ibuprofen. Which has led to a stomach ulcer. The headaches combined with the stomach ulcer have started this cascading effect of vomiting on a daily basis.

You would think that having headaches (and i say headache lightly.. it feels like someone is prying my eyeball out with pliers) and an ulcer would be enough, but unfortunately i also suffer from SERIOUS gallbladder problems.

I can only eat VERY small meals, and if i don't i will get a massive gallbladder attack. Feels like i am being blown up with air in my right back side and i vomit (blood in vomit) and get SO SICK that i literally SCREAM and CRY.

I am going to the doctor this morning. NOT because i want a HUGE amount of drugs, but because i want someone else to see these things, diagnose them, and i have a starting point.

One of the main reasons i stop 80/10/10 is FRUIT FLIES, and the fact that i cannot ever even SLIGHTLY stray away from the lifestyle, or i will get massive indigestion. There was a point, where i had my bananas out (as people do) and i had about 32894723 fruit flies in my kitchen. SWARMS. Enough to coat my cabinets and make my fruit rot way faster. Which made it to where i had to freeze bananas which wasn't working for me. My blender can't handle them, it takes 25 minutes to make one smoothie in the morning before work.

ALSO, if i wanted to use a salad dressing, i would get bloated the next day and be unable to eat, mixing fruit gave me indigestion, just painful.

I need either a MENTOR, or something to help me STAY on this lifestyle LONG TERM. PLEASE HELP ME!!

I lost 20 lbs last time i did it, and managed to keep most of the weight off.

But i need to do this for my HEALTH, because i am declining FAST. <3

I take frequent walks outside, but overall to do get much exercise as I am currently healing from chronic pelvic pain condition- endometriosis.

Before raw I felt like this. Intense fatigue where every cell in my body feeling like it's being pulled to the ground, my arms and legs feel slightly buzzy and weak, and my head is under terrible pressure. It feels really bad. Then after going raw I felt amazing (!!) for maybe 5 days, then i started feeling bad again. That was right after a ate a whole bunch of tomatoes so I avoided them for the next couple weeks but continued to feel awful so deemed it normal detox and began making delicious tomato filled stews as stated above. Every morning I wake up feeling bad, but this morning it's really bad.

So i have been on LFRV lifestyle for about 2 weeks. I am obviously just adjusting to this lifestyle and have not nearly SCRATCHED the surface of the health benefits, but i have some questions.

So my stats are
5'1
(was 184lbs 2 weeks ago) now 174 lbs

coming from mostly vegan lifestyle (had some eggs) but still very unhealthy. Lots of take out (phad thai, veggie burgers, fries, toast, hashbrowns, fried greasy foods)

I had some major health issues that lead me to this lifestyle, frequent Gallbladder attacks/Gallbladder disease, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) Infertility, obesity, lots of vomiting and nausea, FREQUENT migraines (causing me to pop a bunch of Ibuprofen) Almost certain that i was borderline or diabetic. (have all of the symptoms).. some more too.. ANYWAYS

Been eating as many fruits and vegetables as i care for (mostly fruits) for about 2 weeks
Ie: a typical day for me has been:

10 bananas blended w/ 1 pineapple and 1 coconuts worth of water

1-2 lbs of strawberries
5 nectarines or peaches

2 cucumbers
( i was in transition eating about 1/2 an avocado per day, but not anymore)
salad greens 1 box (plastic store bought box) and some tomatoes (cherub)
Any other fruit i want to munch on, mangoes, kiwi, but mostly nectarines and peaches (about 6 per day) would eat more if they were ripe
1/2 large watermelon per day

Right now my main thing is to stay on this lifestyle. I have been averaging about 2,000 calories per day, maybe more, maybe less. Everything i have been eating is raw (with the occasional bit of honey mustard on my salad (having a hard time with just the fruit squeezed on greens)

As of day 11 i felt AMAZING, like.. the best i have ever felt in my entire life. No more Gallbladder attacks, no more headaches, nausea, vomiting, NOTHING. Well that is when i introduced Dates..

I think i have come to the conclusion that the dates are what is causing me (for the last 3 days) to have some headaches (not as bad as before, but still there) and are causing me to get nauseous and vomit a bit. I feel like i am getting slight heart palpitations when i eat them. I want to love dates, i make dateorade, put dates in with bananas and pulse them
I am making sure that EVERYTHING is ripe before i eat it. And i mean spotty, soft, thin skinned, and amazing.

I have felt crummy today, and yesterday. (day 12&13)

Wondering.. maybe i need more H20? I have not been drinking water, since everything i eat already makes me pee clear, guess it is not enough. So i will start incorporating water in.

But i am noticing that every time that i eat dates, i am getting headaches, and heart palpitations (or shortness of breath and chest pains)

This happen to anyone else? I hate to "diss" one of the most important fruits that fruitarians eat, but i am just wondering if this actually IS the problem. I will not be eating dates for a while to see if that is whats going on, i will continue to get my calories from sweet/juicy fruits. (these headaches are annoying, painful and crummy and i don't want to risk it for some dates (that i don't really like the taste of anyways)

I will also Up the water intake to about 1-2L per day

Yes i have been sleeping enough (at LEAST 8 hours per night, but more like 10 or 11)
Anymore sleep than that and i feel like s*** (neck, back pain)

Don't know if that is ANYTHING else that you all need to ask, but ask away. I felt AMAZING before day before yesterday and want to feel that way again. I am also going to start exercising. No i am not going to be perfect HCRV right off the bat, but i am trying, and trying really really hard. Just don't want to feel cruddy.. possible detox? who knows

HELP!!

Told my parents & boyfriend about this lifestyle & they did the usual "its not healthy" whilst eating pizza/chips/chocolate/icecream. I just told them to read the book.

So today ive started the diet. ate apples for lunch & immediately had heaps of energy! Dates for dinner & mangoes for brekky tomorrow. Dates are the shiz! being so small i didnt think theyd fill me up but after a handfull I couldnt eat anymore! but i dont feel weighed down. I already feel clearer & happier.

Question: I've had a headache for the past few days, since before I started 811. What do u guys do for headaches? & colds & stuff. are pain killers out of bounds?

Anyone from Sydney?

I've been LFRV for almost 2 months now, but I haven't been 100% perfect... I've had some boiled potatoes & quinoa a few times recently... and one major slip-up when I ate some salmon & tilapia about a month ago (I know, disgusting!) Also, I only completely cut out salt a couple of weeks ago, but have still been eating some raw nori. Other than that, I've been getting around 2800-3200 calories from fruit on a daily basis (I'm 5 ft, 83 lbs, not highly active), & trying to up my greens intake, being mindful of food combining, drinking lots of water etc.

Lately, I've been EXTREMELY bloated (swollen legs & stomach... it's really noticeable on me b/c I'm so skinny, people have been commenting!) My legs have been getting tingly/numb/"falling asleep" daily, which is really starting to worry me. Also, it feels like my acid reflux is back, even though it was pretty much gone before I even went raw. My digestion is a mess, to say the least. Nothing seems to be... moving. & My skin looks HORRIFIC to the point where even a full face of makeup isn't helping, there are painful red bumps everywhere! I've had bad breakouts in the past, but nothing close to this:(

I don't know if this is detox, especially because I haven't been completely 100% this whole time, or if it's food allergies or something else entirely. I've also been getting intense headaches, having trouble falling asleep again (though I sleep plenty), and am constantly tired & moody. I haven't had the energy to exercise at all, just some walking.

Sorry if this just sounds like a series of complaints, but I feel like my health is just falling apart even more & any help/encouragement would be greatly appreciated. I'm honestly at a loss, since I was feeling really amazing the first few weeks on 811 & now I feel even worse than I did before I even started all this...

***EDIT 5/25: Just wanted to say thanks for all the input. I've already been feeling a lot better focusing on mono-meals & taking everyone's helpful advice:) I still have a long way to go, but I'm finally starting to feel like I'm getting there! So if you come across this post & are going through similar issues, just know that they get better as long as you stay committed!

Get some acupuncture! Seriously, it works better than pills! And believe me, I know. I've had horrible migraines since 2004 (due to meningitis), have seen tons of neurologists, had several MRI's and CAT Scans done, taken pretty much every migraine/headache pill known to man, and have had to put several classes on hold because of this. I would get migraines that would last for days on end, and I used to get migraines literally every day and would throw up from the pain. (I even thought I would have to drop out of undergrad and grad school because my health was so bad.)

During my on and offs doing LFRV, I couldn't stand doing it longer than 3 days due to the migraines (and it was the most miserable thing ever. I was a grump, sleeping in bed 20 some hours a day in a dark room and feeling like 811 was horrible!)

But I started getting some acupuncture treatments and I tell the lady where my headaches/migraines are, and seriously, after the first treatment I was pain free!!! I haven't had to take any pain pills in over 5 days due to this, and I can stay LFRV and not be in pain! LFRV living is wonderful, gives me so much energy that I don't even need caffeine anymore (and, up until 5 days ago, I was drinking a few cans of diet Pepsi a day!), and I feel great!

So to simply: LFRV (and eating LOTS of fruit) + Acupuncture (where your pain is) + Lots of sleep, sunshine, and some exericse = BEST LIFE EVER!!!
