I recently switched over from a cooked vegan candida diet to a modified version of 80/10/10 (no overts, still consume salt & seaweeds). I spent a week focusing on fruits and greens, no cooked foods or starchy vegetables, and in just three days all of my candida symptoms were gone. I was floored - it takes at least three months following my old regimine to take away the chronic itching and pain I experience. My digestion also improved, with easier and more frequent elimination, and I was also less fatigued during the day.

However, I quickly got carried away and foolishly started to test my limits, eating cooked grains and legumes in social situations. BIG mistake. I have since (over a month now) been experiencing chronic yeast infections and constipation again. I have not touched grains or potatoes in several weeks and have no desire to do so again. But no food seems to agree with me now, to the point where I am losing my appetite. There is nothing happy or pleasurable about meal times anymore.

Also, I have been experiencing insomnia since starting 80/10/10, even before I ate the grains. Though this is not a candida issue, it is certainly problematic. My emotions have also been getting the best of me - I know this can be a symptom of detox. However, I was not prepared for the anxiety and paranoia I have been experiencing lately. I have also been experiencing cravings for fish so intense that it drove me to tears, which I admit to giving in to. I have been eating a little sashimi now about twice a week for the last two weeks. Perhaps this was not the "right" choice, but since I have added this to my diet it has helped with the paranoia. I am treating this as a transitional food only until I figure out what's triggering these emotions and how to better cope with them. I do not mean to upset anyone by mentioning this, as I had been a vegan for ethical reasons myself, but I think it is relevant. If anyone has advice on this issue, I am certainly open to hearing it as eating fish is not my ideal.

I will be starting a water fast next week, followed by a mono-diet. I don't know if there's a particular fruit that's best, though the only two I can really afford right now are citrus and bananas. I am hoping that after giving my system a break, I will be able to tolerate fruit again. For me to have tolerated it for even "only" one week says a lot - I usually get an infection within a couple of days of eating a "bad" food, so I have a hard time believing that fruit itself is the issue here. Granted that the above efforts take, I will certainly not stray from my diet again.

Ok, I will start by saying that this lifestyle has improved my insomnia already, but I still have days where I just can't seem to fall asleep. I go to bed at about 9-10 PM (depending on how tired I am), and I wake up at 6-7 AM in the morning. I'd say that most of the time, I'm able to fall asleep relatively quickly, but as I've mentioned I do still have days where I just can't seem to fall asleep, and it's really starting to bug me.

What usually happens when I can't sleep is that go to bed, but my mind starts to wander, almost like my brain just won't shut down and go to sleep.

Is there anyone else who have had this issue and have any idea how I can solve it?

Information that could be relevant:
I eat about 2500-3000 calories per day
I get between 6-9 hours of exercise per week (some days I lift weights in the morning and do cardio in the evening)
I go to school every day, but I only have a 2-3 classes.
I drink 4,5-6L of water per day, depending on how much I feel like drinking
I used to have really bad insomnia last year, to the point where I went about 6 months where I could would only get 2-4 hours of sleep. (November 2013 - March/April 2014)
Last year I also suffered from anorexia and was severely underweight. (I am no longer underweight)
I've been raw till 4 since the end of march last year.
My macros are usually around 90/5/5, but occasionally I eat up to 10% of my calories. (Happens maybe once per month maximum)

Hey everyone. I've been vegan since February, off and on with the lfrv. Two weeks ago I decided to go all out, no overts or anything. It's been going really well, except for that my sleep schedule is becoming kind of messed up.. I don't know whether this is due to the change in seasons or if it has a deeper underlying cause, but I would appreciate any feedback! I eat 2500-3000 calories a day, have moderate cardiovascular exercise 3-4 times a week, and am a student in college.

It's been like this: I've been going to bed later and later each day (11pm, 12pm, 1am, 2am, now I'm at 3am!!) and waking up later and later (8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, today was 11:30am!!!!). I'm getting all the sleep I need but I've noticed I don't feel 100%. This is probably due to the fact that I'm sleeping through half of the day!

Since it has become a problem, I am going to reset it. The way I have done this in the past is to simply wake up at the same time every day. I'm going to make this 8am. Naturally, I'll be getting more tired earlier on in the evening, until eventually my bed-time will be constant as well.

Any other tips on how to reset my sleep schedule?

Thanks! You guys rock
