This low fat vegan whipped cream recipe turned out way better than I could have imagined. It fluffed up really nicely and doesn't use coconut cream, it uses aquafaba, which is much lower in fat. I ate it with some raw banana ice cream!

Check out how to make it:

https://therawbuzz.com/raw-recipes-2/fluffy-vegan-aquafaba-whipped-cream-recipe/

I have candida and tried the high protein/fat diet. It works okay, but not 100%. I tried to convert over to this by doing low/no fats for a few days and then I switched over and on that day I ate greens for breakfast, 4 bananas for lunch, and greens for dinner. I was afraid to load up on fruit right away and I am glad I didn't. What I experienced was a major yeast outbreak and even felt it in my head/ears. I also had extreme anxiety and moodiness to the point I couldn't be at work. I saw a bunch of yeast in my stool which normally I do not. When I took out the fruit the next day everything settled.

What happened? I am not sure I can handle that experience again.

Also, as much as I would love to make this my lifestyle, I have severe reflux and gastritis. Unfortunately, fruit tends to irritate my esophagus/stomach. I understand this may be the best way to eliminate candida imbalance, but am not sure I can do it beyond a month or so because of the other issues. I also get low blood sugar very easily. If I get to a point where I can't eat so much fruit, can I switch over to low fat grains for a carb source and lower the fruit and sustain my results?

She has been using estrogen patches but it just keeps getting worse. I have convinced her that dairy is bad and she has mostly cut that out but not all the way. I want to help her but I don't know how, any of you have any ideas? She's desperate and I think would try anything. I don't want to go on about it since it is kind of a personal thing but I see how much pain she is going through and want to help. Thanks!!

Read the whole post before deleting it because it tells the TRUTH!

Today I tipped the scale to 165Kg. I am 190cm in height.

Using the calculator at the National Institutes of Health my Body Mass Index (BMI) is 45.7 - morbid obesity!

Therefore this proves that all the fruit and carbs I have been eating, for a number of years now, have caused me to have morbid obesity!

Please remember I am a REAL world person, with REAL world major health issues. The next time you are talking to an obese person, you should think about me!

To understand how fruit and high carb foods made me Morbidly Obese, it may help you to understand that I started with a BMI of 97.0 (350Kg). Since no BMI chart goes that high I made up my own (BMI >55)...

A BMI of ≥ 19 to 25 is ideal
A BMI of ≥ 25 to 30 is overweight
A BMI of ≥ 30 to 35 is obesity
A BMI of ≥ 35 to 40 is severe obesity
A BMI of ≥ 40 to 50 is morbid obesity
A BMI of ≥ 50 to 55 is super obesity
A BMI of ≥ 55 to 65 is Super duper obesity
A BMI of ≥ 65 to 75 is Don't let me step on your toe obesity
A BMI of ≥ 75 to 85 is Why Hospitals have double doors obesity
A BMI of ≥ 85 to 95 is Sitting on you is not really murder, is it?
A BMI of ≥ 95 to 100 is Basically Dead! - "Two weeks (or less) to live!"

That last one is what my doctors told me, just before I fired them for failing to meet any of the objectives they were hired for (keep me alive and reasonable healthy!)

A new "health friendly" doctor agreed to order any minimally invasive medically testing I wanted (blood, urine, etc.). Having a high IQ, I went to work to fix things. All of my other doctors had refused to order, or even consider, testing for Celiac Disease, even though others had shown me I had many symptoms. Stool exams (fecal occult blood test) and an elimination diet test proved to my doctor that I both had Celiac Disease, and should not eat Gluten containing food.

However, the Philippines is not America. Eating a Standard Anthropocene Diet (SAD) in the Philippines, that is Gluten Free, was not possible. Even meat here (beef, chicken, some fish), is often injected with a wheat flour mixture (that has gluten in it) to make the meat more tender, and taste better. I decided to eat food just the way God grew it! Or as close to that as possible. (No meat, just fruits / veggies in the public market!) Three days later, my gout had eased enough to allow me to walk 2 meters to the toilet, the start of my exercise. About the same distance from the taxi into the market.

I soon started eating my meals at the local public fruit and veggie market. I became a bit of a celebrity there. Only able to walk a couple steps with a limp, and a strong cane, vendors would bring me their produce. Day one - I asked a vendor to peal and slice a pineapple for me, and then I just ate it. I found out they were ALL willing to prepare the food I bought from them. Dragon fruit, chicos, mangoes, the fruit in rural Philippines is amazing! I also ate some rice and squash and sweet potatoes, all common food here.

One day I noticed some kids actually counting how many of these bananas I was eating. They were so excited when I ate the 100th banana at a single meal! And I had never heard of a "banana island" before! (Nor "Banana I. Lan!")

So I can honestly say that high carbs and literally tons of fruit has taking me from "Basically Dead" to "Morbidly Obese!"

Then 350Kg - NOW 165Kg
Then BMI 97.0 - NOW BMI 45.7
Then Bedridden, could not walk 2 meters - NOW, I can (and do) walk 5Km, or swim 600 meters, and I wish someone would send me a strong bicycle!
Then BP 200/140 (while taking blood pressure pills) - NOW 120/75 and No BP meds!
Then Insulin for Diabetes, 5 injections every day for 30 years, and many pills - NOW No Diabetes meds!
Then daily frightening angina pain and countless pills and ER trips - NOW no pain 11 days after I started and NO angina pills or ER trips!
Then Basically Dead! - NOW I am pleased to announce that Fruit and High Carbs have made me Morbidly Obese!

Full Disclosure: The RAW118 Design Diet I follow is not exactly the same as the 80/10/10, 90/5/5, 811-lfrv, 30BaD or RT4. I invented it myself to meet my needs before I knew the others existed.

RAW118 is a mostly raw (mostly not cooked), to fully raw diet. The R.A.W. part of RAW118 being an acronym of Rich (or fat) foods, Amino foods (dark-green leafy or salad veggies), and Whole foods.

Rich (fat) foods and Amino foods are figured as 10% maximum of the Optimal Metabolic Rate (OMR), which is basically twice the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), or what a top athlete would be burning. So a top athlete on 30BaD and a top athlete on RAW118 would be eating basically the same thing. Durianrider on RAW118 or on 30BaD would eat basically the same thing.

However, this calculation for a bedridden, "Basically Dead", almost uncontentious person, may be fat <20% of daily calorie needs - and for a housewife with little exercise (just starting out) perhaps 12-17%.

For me, dropping to <20% fat (mostly from coconuts and avocados), in the beginning, (I am about 9-10% now) was HUGE from the other "80/10/10" diet I was on then (80% Fat, 10% Soft-drinks, and 10% [actually more] deserts). (Warning: Do NOT try that diet yourself... Although I ate this everyday, I have not done it for years, and I would not recommend it to anyone that does not want to bulk up to 350Kg and die in fear and pain!)

Just consider my former LUNCH... Two family size double stuffed Pizza Hut deep dish meat lovers pan pizzas, with double extra cheese. Plus a family size tray of meat lasagna. That came with 4-6 liters of soft-drinks and 8 deserts!

That is what I ate, for My Lunch only, anyone else would have to buy extra food for them. Breakfast / lunch / dinner / TV snacks were basically the same except the brand names...

"Hello McDonald's? I want FOUR Big Mac meals, super size everything, and eight apple pies. Oh, you better add eight hot fudge Sundays. Delivered!"

"KFC? Yeah, I want 3 family size buckets, with all the fixings and additional four large gravies. Just give me an assortment of the fixings, but no coleslaw. That comes with 12 brownies right?" "Yes sir." "Better give me an extra 12 brownies."

Anyone who knew me then would tell you that I am not exaggerating at all. It takes work to get to 350Kg!

That was my REAL "Suicide Addition Diet" (SAD - Right?)

PROOF: High Carbs can make some people Morbidly Obese!

I'm so glad it has happened to me!

Lan

Banana I.

Hi everybody, mostly women.

I got a cobber-IUD up for over two years ago in 2012, and it gave me numbness in my vagina/clitoris. It hurt a lot when I got the IUD up, and I was nearly fainting afterwards. I got the IUD out after 3 months because of the numbness, but it didn't help with the numbness. I am still numb and have a low libido today. I can get orgasm, but it is not like before. I am very sad about it, because before the IUD I was very sexual and had a lot of sex drive and I enjoyed sex. Now I just feel that I am not fully alive. I have had tantra massage and yuni mapping, and the yuni mapping helped and released some tension. I have thought about, that I have some trauma after the pain of getting the IUD up, but now I am not so sure, because I have read about cobbler toxicity and low progesterone because of excess cobbler.

I also got the HPV-vaccine in 2009/2010, which also is filled with cobber, and I stopped with the contraceptive pill before the IUD. So there has been a lot.

After the HPV-vaccine I got breathing problems, and I had that in 4 years; now it is almost gone because of Raw Till 4. I also had tinnitus for 1,5 months (I think it is because of the vaccine and stress). I got acne after I stopped the contraceptive pill; I healed the acne with raw till 4. And now with the IUD I got numb in my vagina/clitoris, and after over 2 years I am still numb. So I have been through a lot, and I just want to be healthy now and have my sex drive and sexually feeling back.

Do anybody have any advice and experience to share, please.

My partner is loving it, we have both committed, she's feeling more energy and that's helping tenuously with having a bub in the house.

What I am finding is that, unknowingly, I've been under carb-ing for a loooong fucking time. I've used an app to get a rough idea of the amount of carb I have been taking in for a while, but when I weighed my food out of interest its so wrong. I'm eating more carbs than ever, but I'm feeling pretty tired and have no mojo for exercise.

Just wondering if anyone has come to this from a heavy exercise/activity background and found there was a bit of time for the body to catch up with missing carbs from their diet? I've battled through fatigue before, and ate higher fat vegan food to perk up. Maybe I'm just due to rest and feed for some time to recalibrate??

any ideas, or similar experiences?

Guy

I'm good at reading fat and sugars etc like when I have tinned food or just any food. I just don't know what's bad or good when it comes to things like 'mgs' like 1000mgs freelee says like how do I know I'm not going over? I guess some of it is common sense like per 100g if there's 10g of salt in a 500g package, that ain't good lol but like I was saying, green, amber, red. green would be like 0-2g of salt maybe? just so I know when reading things, it's when some things have mgs where I have no clue, what's a 'low' salt reading in 'mgs' you get the gist. anyway hope anyone can help ):::::thanksxxxx

Hi all,

So I've been fairly consistently raw for the last several months and I've been losing some weight. I've never been that concerned with my weight but I just want other people's opinions/experiences on the subject. I'm 6 feet tall and I'm down to 136 pounds. I've always been slender but it seems like it's been steadily going lower and lower but I don't weigh myself that often. I don't even own a scale. I thought I heard/read somewhere that when you go raw your body gets rid of all the old toxin-containing fat and then builds back with some healthy fat. Has anyone else heard that? If so, I'll just assume that this is all part of the detoxification process. I've kind of been thinking that anyway. You'll probably want to know what I eat and how much. My main staples are: dates, bananas, grapes, romaine lettuce(usually two to three heads a day, I've been craving it like crazy), and all sorts of other fruits intermittently. I easily get at least 3000 calories a day.

More stats: I've been vegan for fourteen months and then 'cleaner' vegan for over eight months. 99% raw these last few months. I've been through several other 'detox events' so I think that my eliminative organs weren't working so hot up until I made the switch to a healthy, more ethical lifestyle.

Peace.

My Doctor wants to put me on medication, but I really want to combat this a different way. I have been vegan for three years. I thought I was doing good things. Vegan, working out, jogging....but my genes got me anyways. I have read some things online about others combatting their genetic cholesterol through diet and exercise. I am taking the next three months to figure this out before going on meds. I have read about some who have gone super low fat. I would love to hear some advice from some of you who may have experienced this, or have knowledgable advice. Thanks everyone in advance.

I only say this because when im out and if i go vegan shops or places like holland and barrett or health shops, sometimes i dont have fruit on the go with me to have for lunch or theres actually no fresh fruit to buy wherever i am (say at uni, their fruit is always v.shit or theres none there?!!)
I know nakd bars aren't good as nuts + dried fruit is a recipe for a disaster and dark chocolate isn't good because thats just fat...yeah
thanks guys xx

Hi Guys, I've been high carb lifestyle for about 6 months now. I have really bad problems with low energy, especially the last two months. I eat 2000 calories a day and sometimes 2500 but I would say that my average is 2000. I'm in college now so I don't sleep 10-12 hours per night, sometimes I only sleep 5-4 hours and I cannot change that because the academic amount that I have to study is huge. I'm slightly active, I walk everyday about 8000-10000 steps so I don't have problems with that. I've been taking b12 supplements and iron as well so I don't think that is b12 deficiency. I eat a high carb lifestyle but most of the days are raw till lunch, because I don't have enough time to go and buy huge amounts of fruit for the week. What do you think about this? have you had the same problems? I'm only 20 years old by the way. I would love some of your suggestions <3
