Hi ❤ I am new to this community and very exited to be here. I am a spiritual, 34 year old female from Norway and have been vegan and raw till 4 since 2015. I have had a dream about building a fruit paradise for many years. I have been traveling around looking for a place, and there has been bumps along the way. I would like to check out Nicaragua for a potential spot, but it would be so nice to create this place together with someone like-minded. The main plan is to buy some land, not to far from the ocean for surfing possibilities. Growing food, offgrid, have a river close by for water and cleaning would be awesome. Then in the future when we have enough food to share, welcome people who are sick and want to get well. Donationbased. Also maybe host retreats of different kinds. The best place for living on a raw food diet

Hi guys!

I am a fully raw guy for many years living in Czech Republic(European Union). I work as IT specialist. In the nearest future I would like to move to the country with a warmer climate and bigger amount of fruits, because here in Prague we have a long winter and not so many tropical fruits. So now I am thinking about where to go. I have discovered this article http://www.fredericpatenaude.com/blog/?p=1917 with the TOP of best places for rawfoodists with some great places, for example USA - California, Miami, Florida, Hawai or Australia, but all these places are blocked for the foreigners and I cant see the way how to legally obtain working visa in these countries. In the Thailand there are no possibilities to work for the foreigners, but everything is cheap and this is a really fruitarian paradise. So there are so many fruitarian countries but all of them have its own limitations of living/working for foreigners. I am writing this post to find the same people like me who is searching for the new living and working opportunities in sunny countries without cold winter and lack of fruits. Could you please inspire me and show any possibilities? I will be happy for any messages from anyone. Feel free to contact me. Thank you for your attention.

Fruity WWOOFing in Florida?

I'm officially looking for fruity paradise!!!! So excited! Not quite as easy as I thought though.

I was hoping it would be really easy to find a place with a huge abundance of fruit. On the WWOOF website, I found only one place in South Florida that seems easy to get integrated with and has a decent level of variety of fruit trees.

Does anybody know of any places I might want to check out? I might settle permanently in the area, so entry-level jobs at cool places would be nice too. Any advice at all would be appreciated. Thanks a lot guys!

Its with pleasure that I invite all the fruit heads of the world to come and either witness or be part of this wonderful event that will occur this winter, from December first to end of... April!! Or come for however long you want! If your looking for a nice place to spend the winter, surrounded with tropical fruits and fruitarians from all over the world keep reading! HOUSING

I hope to have at least 20 people present for the event. We'll try to fit everyone on the same property. So bring you tent! We will share a kitchen, which will be a good opportunity to learn about sharing a kitchen among fruitarians... Or good opportunity to show how we behave in communal spaces, after all, one of the main objective of this gathering will be to see each other in many situation! We will also plant a garden as soon as we get there, so all you green thumbs can be satisfy! We hope to move to a land that interest us, to learn about it as much as possible about it before the big investment.

COST PER MONTH

For hoursing, food, communication, and transport, i say from 350$ to 650$ a month minimum, let me explain... The housing will not cost more the 600$ per month, all depends on how many people will show up, the rent will be split among us, it can cost you as little 20-50$ a month if enough people... Food is quite expensive, so if you want to eat awesome food like sapote or durian (if available), it might cost you up to 15$ a day, so 450$ a month. BUT!! If you decide to give a little effort, you'll easely find food around that nobody cares about, like coconut, rose apple, sugar cane, some jackfruit, many varieties of bananas, plantains, coconut palm heart, oranges, and many greens like local spinach, colllards, katouk or cranberry hibiscus, my favorite, etc... If you go this way it could cost you only 5$ a day or 150$ a month. I will buy a truck for everyone's groceries, at least for as many people as possible, and for looking at lands, going to the beach etc... So I will ask for gaz money, not much, but with other transports like bus's, I would say 100$ a month. Then for communication, its easy to spend 2-5$ a day on internet, so about 100$ a month.

ACTIVITIES

We hope to be as proactive as possible, and not just surf all the time...lol. Looking for land and building a garden will be a good part, but we need to get to know each other as much as possible. So we need to play together!! Any sport like soccer, frisby or even tag will be part of our days. I also will try to get a Risk board game, believe it or not this game worked very well last year to learn about some people... Any suggestions will be welcome, I bet we won't run out of ideas!

WHAT TO BRING

A tent that is well aired, or a large mosquito net with a tarp over it, or a hammock with a mosquito net incorporated in it, with a tarp over it. Don't worry though there's barely any mosquitoes year round! Some good hiking shoes, as light as possible, crocs and five fingers might get wormed out fast on the gravel roads and long hikes we take to look for land. A sleeping bag is not essential, a blanket can be plenty, but some summer sleeping bag can be very compact compared to a blanket... Outer then that you know the essential, tooth brush, cloths, ceramic knife, wooden spoon, etc...

TOPICS OF CIRCLES

The group will be divided into 2, the ones truly interested in becoming a resident of the community, and the ones whom are there simply to witness the event... the fist ones will have lots of circles to attend to, even home works!! We will be talking mostly of the vision. We need to find out what is the core goal of every one, the long term one. Then we need to choose a legal entity, a cooperative probably, that is to buy land under many people's name, to protect each other financial and legally. This will be the toughest thing to accomplish. After we learned about each other and made a fancy document, one or two of us will have to go back with me to Montreal Canada to finalize the entity... Which will take about a month of work. Its important to understand the necessity of this, I really hope you did or will read Diana Leave Christian's book Creating life together... Our bible if you ask me... In there you will see what we will talk in details, and how we will talk, like with a facilitator, some of us are trained in this. Also we will talk about the different branches of the project, such as a animal shelter, a yoga center, a PRI (permaculture research institute), a healing center, etc.. Lots to talk about!

So I hope i gain your attention... And like I said, you can simply come as a witness, enjoying the fruits, the beach and the fruitarian company! No stress!

Traveling to and helping out at fruitful places?

Dear fellow fruit lovers!,

I recently adopted the 80/10/10 way of life and LOVE it!

I've had a nagging feeling from the age of 12 that something just wasn't entirely right about how we -western society- are living life. 20 years education - 40 years working - 10 to 20 years on your bum, all while getting your food from the supermarket instead of the place it really comes from - Nature!

Went on a backpacking trip to Australia last year. The whole experience and the awesome people I met have had a lasting impact on me.

This feeling has been increasing a lot lately and right now I'm quite sure I would love to be living self sufficient in a tropical climate. In a Garden of Eden, so to speak.

So since my paid work will be ending this month and I do have some savings, I was thinking about hitting the road again and visiting people who are living this way. To help them out in exchange for food and accommodation while simultaneously learning from them and experiencing what it will be like!

I'm looking around for places to visit (anywhere!) and I think I might have found some interesting looking ones, but since doing things together with like-minded people is WAY more fun, I'm writing this message here to ask if there is anybody who wants to join me? Or maybe who is already doing this and then I could join you! :)

My view of it: traveling to farms / communities / homestead of people living -mostly- self sufficient the high-carb raw vegan way and practicing Permaculture / sustainable food growing techniques.

Trying to find people for fruitarian house share in Puna, Hawaii

I'm currently living in Hilo, but I'm hoping to make my way back to Puna pretty soon, and it would be amazing to share a house with other fruit lovers. I'd like to get 3 or 4 people (including myself) so that the rent would be nice and low, maybe around $200 each. Ideally this place would be close to a bus stop so everyone could get into town for fruit, or if someone had a vehicle we could all share in the costs of going into town for fruit shopping.

Anyone interested? It will be another month or so before I can leave this place since I need to give notice, so I just want to see if I can get some people together.

What Films, Doco's, Interviews have inspired Journey..??

They could be Animal Lib, Athletic, Health, Activist, Adventure, Passion, Paradise, Nature, Consciousness, Tribal, Visionary, Cult, Knowledge, Love or simply Beautiful..

And they don't have to be your all time favorite either, simply films that you feel others here would get a kick out of, maybe a tear, maybe your film suggestion will change the course of someones life..

Films are very powerful in this sense, they can transform and activate what I call our Multidimensional Self, our Quantum Essence where we gain access to Infinity and our own unique Gifts and Talents that are most often sleeping dormant. Powerful films can break our programmed conditioning, habits and our linear thought patterns to see life with fresh eyes and to get out there and live our dreams.. We can too often get stuck with Blinkers on, so here is your chance to share life through Rainbow coloured glasses.

This doco shows how the people stood up for their Gardens and Forests, their families and culture, the rivers and all life, and they did it in the most Grass Roots fashion you can imagine.
