Okay so i've been going crazy on maca powder at the moment and after researching this, too much maca powder everyday can cause weight gain/changes in the body - which boy have i been experiencing.
Its frustrating because i LOVE maca, its been making my smoothies taste SO good. I do like cinnamon but maca just over-rides it by far, and carob for that matter.
I'm going to stop using maca now for a while and probably will stop all together as i just dont know how many times i should have it in the week.
Because of this, i need something to make my smoothie 'tasty'. I quoted tasty as even though it already is, i like having added tastes!
I'm okay on carob but its not my fave. Cinnamon is nice but i feel like the spices i have, aren't showing cinnamon in its best light... every cinnamon jar tastes different?!

SO does anyone know any nice spices to add in that will be nice?!
Thanks!
XxX

Hi Folks! New to the site.

I'm a backpacker. 5+ years now, on $10 a day. I am high carb cooked vegan at the moment, and as soon as I am in India in a couple weeks, I'm going to load up on more fresh fruit.

Curious about the nutritional content/merits of dehydrated "living" green powders. The stuff that tastes long pond water. The mix of different grasses, nettles, leaves, and even some roots and fungi. But a green drink, anyway.

Given my lack of access to fresh greens and other complications of backpacking, I've been pretty reliant on the powders. I feel really good with them until I lose interest, which makes me think I've gotten enough of whatever is inside.

Anyone have info/stats/reveals on these things? Contra-philosophies?

Thanks,

Maria

I've been following HCRV for awhile and started really getting into weight training about 3 months ago.. However, my muscle definition isn't showing, despite a LOT of weight training.

I want to look something like Erin Moubray, but I'm not sure if I can get there as a follower of 80-10-10. She built her muscle on vegan protein powders and beans.. then went HCRV. Is it possible to build muscle like hers just through HCRV, and if so, how?

I've been unbelievably confused about diet lately. I will always be vegan, but I feel like the physique and body type I'm looking for is built through higher-protein vegan diets, like that of Erin Moubray before and Jehina Malik now. That's the kind of tone I'm looking for, like Jehina's (you can look her up on YouTube).

Does any female have experience with getting muscles like those on this diet alone? And if so, how much are you eating and how do you train?

Should I add more greens for more protein? Or a raw protein powder to supplement more protein, but stay in the 811 ratio?

I'm currently training 6 days a week, alternating the muscle groups I work every day (like chest and back one day, shoulders and arms the next, legs and back, etc.)
