Okay guys I need some help, when it comes time for dinner I either want to have fruit or want to have some greens and lately I've been really craving some zucchini noodle salad and the works but every single time I eat the salad I feel really bloated in the morning. This does not happen when I have a huge Fruitvale but always happens when I have a huge zucchini noodles salad. Is it because I'm not used to having salad as much as I've been having all fruit days? They contain no overt fats and are within 80 1010 standards. I do have them late at night and right before I go to bed could that be a problem? I usually don't have this problem when I eat fruit though. Please help I've been a raw vegan since July so maybe it could be that I'm not used to it but I've been on the high carb vegan life since last year but then for a couple months I fell off the wagon and again this January and I was still raw till four. Please please please help if anybody knows what I can do maybe drink more water or eat earlier but I don't know if those are the problems! I wake up VERY bloated
image.jpg

I made a savory salad last night with romaine lettuce with fresh parsley, red bell peppers and scallions and LOVED it! I loved it so much that I'm going to make it again today for dinner, only this time I'm going to try it with lamb's lettuce instead of romaine and with dill instead of parsley, I'm excited to see how it goes. :) Only one thing that's a bit annoying is that it's hard to get rid of the way my breath smells from the scallions, lol. :D I'd be thankful for any tips. ;)

The other thing that makes me happy is this being my third day of not having any more muscle pain and I haven't even ordered my vitamin-D or my figs yet. :) I still want to order them though. And regarding my rehabilitation-sport, I'm still going to make an appointment there, so that I can start.

After a long day of eating fruit, there is nothing I want more that more sweet fruit poured over a bed of leafy greens! This is SOOO easy and satisfying, I do not know why everyone doesn't do it... Get creative, use seasonal, ripe, raw, organic, juicy fruits, or even non juicy fruits (just add water), and combine this delicious and nutritious sugar with different herbs. Be careful on the herbs, a little goes a long way! My favorite herbs to play around with (in moderation), are mint, parsley, cilantro, marjoram, basil, dill, and chives. You can also experiment with some lime, especially mixed with papaya or mango, or both! When I was at the Woodstock Fruit Festival I was extremely surprised that Chris Kendall and Megan Elizabeth did not make more SWEET dressings…WTF? THey are still amazing and I am greatful for all their hard work. The mango chutney that Megan made was delicious, but wasn't "supposed" to be a dressing. Hahah? Why do 80/10/10 raw vegans not jump on the sweet salad train!? I've been on it for more than a year now and life is grand =) For people in transition that need more stimulation, you can add a little bit of raw garlic or jalepeno peppers, however, I have avoided these strong flavors for a while now that my mouth is much more sensitive. I make these salad dressings all the time and people on the SAD diet, aka people who's taste buds are no longer functioning, guess wrong 9 times out of 10 how the dressing was made. But they still love it! Check out the TIPS at the end of the Video, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Forget all that nonsense about nightshades, moderation is key, and if those extra flavors keep you on the 811rv path, then that is a much lesser evil than not getting enough calories in my opinion. Get creative =)

Hey all, today was my first day doing 80/10/10 and man was it tough! I failed a little bit too towards the end of the day. I started out with lots of fruit in the morning, had a soup for lunch, lots of smoothies. I ate so much and yet I couldnt get satisfied. Here were some things I experienced:

Cravings for cooked fatty foods. Even the smell of my boyfriend's chicken was appealing! (yes, I'm ashamed )

When I was hungry I would eat fruit but the sugar was just too much for me towards lunch time that all I wanted to eat was veggies.

For dinner I ended up eating a whole avocado and a salad with tahini dressing.

In total today I've had around 2 avocados, 2 tablespoons of tahini and a handful of sprouted pumpkin seeds as far as fats go. (I just love avocados!)

I dont really like the way I feel now. I noticed a difference between eating all fruit and greens and eating fats. When I eat the fats I definitely feel more sated but I feel like the food is just not getting digested.

My question is how do I combat those cravings? Will they go away? I really did put down a crapload of fruit, for real. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Or maybe this is normal? Help!

I've tried to like lettuce and spinach, but I just have a hard time eating it. I especially can't stand spinach. Before 811, I loved salad, but I always put some greek dressing on it. I've tried a few raw salad dressing recipes, but they haven't made me like eating salad any more.

Today I put one kale leaf in my tomato soup which turned out tasty, but I know one leaf won't cut it.

Any more ideas on how I can get more greens in, or how I can learn to enjoy them?

Uggh, what the eff. I was looking forward to enjoying this too. I got some "Fresh Express" brand "Organic Biologique" spring mix mesculin, and it has the number "82369" on it. This is not the the zip code as that is clearly printed elsewhere. Looks like I'm not gonna eat this... Any comments? I wasn't expecting this, I thought it was only corn, soy, and papaya in hawaii that was GMO. When did salad become GMO??
