The girl in the video mentions that after eating nori sheets she would get a headache. I noticed that I eat a lot of veggie sushi rolls and get a headache pretty much every day. I want to know everyone's opinion and if you can help me find out the truth.

Hey lovely people,

I recently posted in the high carb cooked vegan section, expressing my inner conflict with giving up cooked food. I'm glad to say, while writing and organizing my ideas, i have come to the simple realization that cooked just ain't worth it, I'm sensitive about my health, and i want #1, no less. But still, there are a few minor difficulties with this lifestyle i want to cover. It revolves mostly around green peas, tomatoes, raw nori seaweed sheets, and honey.

When i was a little more lenient about what i was consuming, i was eating a raw pea soup, blended with lemon juice, mixed with soaked raw nori sheets, and sometimes some honey. It may sound strange, but it tastes amazing. The peas are frozen organic, which i put under warm water to defrost. I want to know what yal think of green peas. I`ve heard that as a legume, they contain anti-nutrients. I seemed to do fine with them before, but since my last cooked binge, i been super fruit-based, with some lettuce on the side, but i been craving my pea soup lately, though im skeptical at this point of occasionally eating it.

Also, i once made a salad, just lettuce, soaked nori, and lemon juice, which was absolutely delicious, but i vaguely remember experiencing stomach pain right after, and dry skin the day after.

I've always had lots of intolerances, and the first attempts i made to correct my health, probably 7 years ago now, came from the book Eat right 4 your Type, which told me to cut out wheat, dairy, potatoes, tomatoes, and sesame. That helped me for a while, but being curious as i am, i always advanced nutritionally. So, I was wondering what people thought about tomatoes. They're very acidic, they're nightshades, I've heard that they can cause joint pains or discomfort, etc, etc. If I`m convinced by one of you that im being paranoid about these foods and they`re harmless, then I`m thinking of throwing some of these into my pea soup, unless im told that its bad food combining.

Honey, i know, is the most frowned upon of the above mentioned foods, being cruel to the bees, and im pretty much already convinced its no good, so no worries there.

So yea, what do you guys think of peas, tomatos, and nori? Are these harmless? the best non-fruit foods which i can let myself indulge in occasionally, if i drink a ton of water first? Probably not too good? Or downright terrible in comparison to pure fruit?

I believe i eat plenty, usually 2700-3500 calories a day in mostly bananas, some mangos, dates, grapes, and melons, i exercise well, drink 2 to 4 liters of water a day, but i still crave these things, and get somewhat bored of fruit. I don`t really care that much about the sweetness.

So much love,

please help, im having dreams of pea soup,

Shrikantha

I was wondering if dried Nori is 80/10/10-approved. It has no preservatives (in the ingredient list) and salt added, although it does, of course, have a certain amount of sodium in it. It's all-natural, but is it really ideal for human consumption? I'm asking because I was thinking of making veggie rolls tonight, and lettuce is too soft to hold up well enough.

Thank you in advance for any feedback! What's your deal with carrot?

P.S.

Yesterday I had the kind of terrible, splitting headache that I have not experienced since going raw. Even after a period of time where I had been 100% raw and then began to eat some cooked food and drink coffee and then detoxed from that, the result was not so uncomfortable.

For the past few weeks I have been eating bananas, dates, persimmons, oranges and greens. I have been drinking anywhere from 2-4 liters of water a day, generally toward the higher end. Yesterday specifically, I had 5 bananas and 6 dates for breakfast along with a liter of water. Then at mid morning I had a smoothie of 3 bananas, 4 dates and 3 cups spinach and 1/2 liter of water. But I also put in a tablespoon of seaweed powder I prepared from (roughly) equal parts dried:
Dulse
Nori
Kombu
Wakami
Which I blended down into a rough powder.

A few hours later I had a couple oranges and 2 bananas with a liter of water. and in the early evening I had 4 bananas and 5 dates with another liter of water. Plus glasses of water throughout the day.

This has been more or less the way I've been eating recently and feeling great. But yesterday the only thing that was really different for me was adding the seaweed. So I'm wondering if this was just detoxing something nasty or if I am sensitive to the seaweed. The kind of headache I got was very similar to headaches I have gotten from eating food with MSG in the past. I'm just curious if anyone has experienced similar and if maybe I should be careful with how much seaweed I eat.

I had another smoothie like above, today and although my head is already a bit "tender" I'll see if it ramps way up again.
