  • I never understood this obsession about what our ancestors ate anyway. Veganism is what we need to eat from now on if we want this poor world of us to go on at all! I don't care a fig that victorians survived on fortified wine and roast lamb or that tribes in the Amazon eat as many as 6 kilos of piranhas. Veganism is about the future, not the past!

    • People seem to think the past was better, and thus we should be more like them, too often, as well as they believe the old teachings of the past.
In terms of physiology veganism is ideal because that's what humans ate during every period of our existence outside of when there was (apparently) an ice age and some of us had no other choice. For some reason people still believe that in the past 10,000 years we  have became these omnivores or meat-eaters, which isn't true at all.

I think we should eat like are ancestors, just not like our recent ancestors. Eat as much as you desire, eat what you can easily manage to prepare yourself, eat what smells good, and what makes you feel the best.

      • "an ice age and some of us had no other choice"

And that's one of the things they PURPOSELY leave out.  This is Paleo's technique of re-packaging the failed Atkins diet.  It's all trickery.

It's not a troll-site.  Tho I have a new troll that's promoting that site; telling me to read it.  And it comes up in searches a lot.  If it's the #1 search result, it's not just legit, but getting a lot of attention (and it's probably well-funded).  Think of the industry that most benefits from low-carb diets.  They have billions of dollars to advertise to keep the pubic from going high-carb.

It's business.  And they're more organized with more funding then us.

I even discovered that Bill Clinton going paleo was a hoax, spread my one of his doctors.  I seem to be the only one who made a video about it.  But I don't have fame or funding to advertise it(get it on googles page 1).  So it has 300 views.  And the world will keep believing this low-carb-lie.

    • excellent point, though I wouldn't mind having that fig ;)

  • I thought it'd be bad, then I clicked on it and thought maybe it was good, then I saw the first reason.
The level of disinformation I saw in 30seconds leads me to believe this is literally a troll-site. The real disgusting thing is insulin matters, yes, but more insulin is produced when you eat more fat (and animal products as a result), and thus they're completely misinforming people.

    >"Real food is what humans have been eating for thousands or (even better) millions of years, e.g. meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, butter, olive oil, nuts etc."
Literally HELLO? How about fruit, y'know, what humans have literally ate since their existence?

    • we have been eating butter churned with preservates and machine pressed oil since the ice age.

let's eat red meat eggs and fish because it's what nature intended.

      definitely not fruit.
