Help :(

Hi guys ,

I'm not doing so well atm . . . 

I have a history of binging and purging . Have an ED for about 10 years now. Lost weight gained weight..and so on and so on. 

I quit drinking also for about 8 months. And it so it went better with the ED also. 

I started raw till 4  2/3 weeks ago . And it went good but I did gain weight. 

And the last days I craved for some bread and toast and french fries ( things I don't normally eat that much ) . I also feel like I'm binging all the time with the fruit and stuff.. 

Today I went all the way and ate too much and purged . 

Is this normal that I feel like shit with this and that I'm craving all the time.? 

Hope someone can help me out...

  • I'm glad you're here, Kath.  Each person dealing with such an issue is unique, but i have seen many folks helped over the years.  While there is no substitute for dealing with internal emotional factors, improving lifestyle habits per our recommendations can only help.  
    Yes, it can be typical to experience feeling like you're riding a health roller coaster.  Consider that for 10 years, your body has through much turmoil.  Restoration will not come over night, or even necessarily over months.  Healing may indeed take years, but I consider:

    These years will pass regardless.  It's the positive habits you're beginning to incorporate now that will hopefully lead to far brighter days down the road.  

    Absolutely cravings can be experienced.  Your body has been lacking nutrients and calories for a lengthy time.  Now that you're cooperating more, it's going to want to hold onto everything it can.

      • If you had read through all the posts then you would see that if you are asking for advice on your particular issues, the way anyone can help you is to do the following below. By myself responding to you at all shows that I do have empathy. Everyone is here to help you, but we need to know your current daily intake/output to assist you.

        * ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE

        If you want objective feedback we request all participants of this forum keep a food diary here or in the BLOG section (and link to it). These diaries should include daily entries of everything you consume, quantities, calories, exercise, water and sleep. If you don't have a diary here, we won't be able to help you or answer your questions effectively. This is a two way street, help the admins and others by doing your bit (of keeping a diary) and the admin will do their best to be available and accommodating. 

        Naturally we understand you will feel like sharing/asking for assistance if you are struggling on the lifestyle, so in order for the admin to assist you (from an informed place) they MUST have access to your RT4 diary. We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks 100% RT4 before asking for assistance and please link to your diary in your post. We ask this of you because this is a SUPER group, that is results driven.  Without your diary entries we cannot ever give you accurate or objective feedback and this wastes everyones time. Please help the volunteer admins by requesting this from other members too. At the end of the day if you have not been keeping a diary then it's just not fair on those who are giving their time for free.

          I m doing my best but it s not that easy to find my way around here with all the rules and seperated groups. I did use the cronometer but only for a few days. I Will pick up that habbit again.

          I just don t know what to do with myself . I really feel like i m binguing all the time and i m making my stomach bigger.

          But i m not gonna stop. There are so many positie stories here so this must be successfull. I hope even for me ...
