I have an awful problem with eating lots of fruit all day (bananas are my staple), feeling plenty full until dinnertime, and then once I've had my big salad ... soon I'm hungry again. Here is a typical day for me:
breakfast: 10 bananas
lunch: smoothie, 8 bananas + 1 cup water + 1 cup juice (mango-orange or something like that, pasteurized but 100% fruit)
supper: salad: 1 head lettuce + several leaves of chard, kale, spinach, whatever I have + 1 large tomato + grated carrot/chopped cucumber. Dressing may have avocado, or just fruit & herbs.
I also try to drink lots of water throughout the day, but separate from meals.
I find I cannot stay raw because I get so hungry in the evenings (and I have to stay up late to work, as I am a fairly stressed university student).
I would eat more fruit after dinner but I don't want to spoil my digestion. Then again, I'm spoiling it anyway if I break down and eat cooked sh** ...
I should mention here that I'm also still trying to overcome bulimia, and being hungry is a binge trigger. I have made HUGE strides since trying to eat raw 811 (have already been vegan for many years), but I'm not fully over it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently getting between 2000-2500 cals per day, and have a small build, and am not super active (I do walk everywhere, and I try to go to the gym, but time and stress limit that). I did recently up my calories to that and it somewhat helps. I am scared to eat more even if I manage to afford it, but maybe I just need to make the leap ...
