The bendy-straw-curve, which allows it to shape to various sizes, is also it's downfall. While it will resist equal lateral pressure, it obviously will not survive many unusual "bend-inducing" un-equal lateral pressure situations.
Further, their "banana drum solo" example WOULD show this, except they IMMEDIATELY show and peel the banana as if to show there is no bruising, when we all know that bruising on bananas does not show up instantly. ;)
It's pretty obvious there is SOME bruising occurring in the mid-section, as when he peels it past the halfway point the banana flops and wiggles in a way that suggests there has been bruising. (ESPECIALLY in a banana that is so under-ripe!)
Over-all, I don't think it really meets my fruitarian standards. ;) It's interesting, but needs improvin'!

Americans pronounce things very differently depending on the local area. ;) I'd imagine that is true in other areas as well.
Anyway, I've never added superfluous R's to my pronunciation of banana. But then, those from my area don't pronounce R's much anyway. ;) I say it just like it looks: "buh-nan-nah" :P
