Hey guys, got a question on ''Medjool Dates''.
I'm a big fan of Freelee the Banana girl and she always adds these kind of dates to her smoothies. I love them too! I've been reading the packages of the ones sold at my local Moroccan fruitshop and some of them say there's 'Glucose Syrup' in them, is this normal? Is that why they're so juicy and sweet? Or are the natural ones also this juicy and sugary?
OR is added glucose syrop normal for medjool dates and not a problem for my health?
Thanks!
Jolien

I would definitely opt for a pack without added sugar than one with it ... whenever carbs are listed as "syrup" that's usually a bad sign
Yeah I think so too, thanks!
That's strange. I wonder if its a preservative? Where do you live? I don't think its a huge problem, but probably shouldn't eat them in large quantities.
I live in Belgium, I'm going to upload some pictures of the choices of dates I have this week so you can check them out if you want :)
