Ever since I was two years old I have spent about an 1/8 of my life in Goa, India over the years, and subsequently having almost white blonde hair and somewhat pale skin as a child I ended up with moles developing on my whole body, but mostly my back. My skin is no longer pale and I very rarely burn in the sun, but the moles have always remained.

On Monday I started a Raw Till 4 HCLF vegan lifestyle and ever since the moles on my back are beginning to disappear. Most of the smaller moles have near enough vanished, whilst only the larger ones remain.

Is this normal? I tried searching the forum for other people with the same results, but I could not find anything other than people asking if the diet could help with moles and skin tags.

  • Could this be a fungal infection?
  • I have fair skin and a bunch of moles. Back when I switched to veganism I had one mole on my thigh that used to bother me for some reason, couldn't say why, it was a similar size & colour to the other moles but I use to find myself scratching it unconciously. 6 months after going vegan it had dissappeared.

  • Yes I have heard others having this happen, it's very exciting to hear about your body healing so quickly!!! :D

Thanks for sharing!  You may want to post this in the Testify! section too! http://www.30bananasaday.com/page/testify-1

  • Fascinating. I would say it is not uncommon for people of India to have moles on body parts that are exposed to the sun, no?  Goa, being more southern of India would have its share of intense sun. I suppose this is a defense against climate/ environmental factors. Eating what your body needs is creating a constant defense against outside factors because I guess you're building from the inside. You started on Monday? That is so soon for the moles to vanish. However, cool! Could be too soon to tell, however, it would be interesting to see the progress of this over the next month or two.
