The night a 30 b.a.d guest "arrived" the main house on the farm burnt...Here we are : three 30 b.a.d members being together. What I learnt is this : it´s good to have a working phone , keys, a flashlight and personal documents on/ with you. Thank God for being safe and that there is a fire department nearby who helped saving the farm (flora & fauna)... Thanks also for my massage clients and real friends bringing fruits, clothes and especially heartfelt hugs(it´s in times of need u figure out who´s a real friend : )

I'm really sorry to hear this, I hope you have insurance? The house I was living in burned down a few years ago. It wasn't really losing everything that was challenging (stuff is just stuff) but the rebuilding process can be really stressful....I'd say the more you can do on your own or with the help of family and friends the better! I actually really enjoyed the planning aspect, finding eco-friendly materials (this was in a residential area so we couldn't do anything really cool like an earthship) and designing everything but dealing with a contractor who ended up stealing money from us was impossible.
thanks PIXIE !!! Today is exactly 1 year it happened. I did not cry or anything, but the truth is that not a day passes that I am reminded of stuff (all my pictures old and newer ones). Can¨´t say it has been easy but somehow I am blessed with good will and also some help from people who "care" enough. I see it as a "cleansing" cause I was a big collector and had difficulties organizing and cleaning. Eco friendly materials (bamboo, Wood, clay/earth bricks etc.) don´¨t do so well at the tropics (huge contrasts in moist/ dryness and termites and other insects). I admire a person like Happy Heavenly Oasis who lives in a rock structure, it seems the most natural and most environmental considerate at all,,, no architects or building permits needed..
I am so sorry!!!
Thank goodness you guys are safe!
btw- I emailed you twice and sent you a message on here?
This is the video taken shortly after the incident, hope it can be instructive...
