Im looking at getting an Apple Mac Notebook.....does anyone want to sell theirs?
I had a look at a Mac Air and it only weighs 1.3kg so its great for the nomadic lifestyle but misses out on Superdrive - dvd burner/reader
But I can buy an external one as i don't seem to use it very often.....
What do u prefer? What is your experience with Mac laptops?
Had a look on Ebay and there is no Airs.

Thankyou for correcting me on this perhaps, someone naive, even bigoted view of chinese labour practises. I'm really pleased to hear that generally speaking, workers are not being significantly exploited in China and that you can easily find workers with a smile on their face.
Although all companies are ethically dubious, apple are a particularly unethical. My friend had an article in a amgazine a couple of years ago how they use slave labour to produce their products. Im on a boycott of apple products. Best bet is to find someone locally who will make up a laptop from scratch for you. You can get em made up quite cheap to spec. Use Mandriva linux instead of windows. Its so easy to use, and very sexy.
an article in a magazine doesnt say much - can you be more specific?? I wouldnt just boycot the best computer i have ever used cause a friend of a friend 'heard' it was unethical...
I cant provide a link to the magazine article because I read the article in my friends computer magazine a few years ago. Im not really sure why its so hard to believe though. Its pretty much accepted in the UK that anything produced in China uses slave labour.

THis is the description.... I upgraded to the new Aluminium MacBook so now I'm selling my old MacBook White (which has a number of upgrades). While buying my old one the technician at the Apple store suggest I bring in my old one for a once over and they replaced the top unit and gave the rest a tick. That means this Mac has a brand new keyboard, touchpad and hand rest. The bits you touch are all brand new! I never travelled with this Mac, it was always on the power in the lounge room beside the couch! Clean case, no cracks or noticeable scratches. I've upgraded it to 2008 software Leopard with '08 iLife and Office Home & Student edition. Office comes with 3 licenses so you will get 1 original Microsoft sticker code (if you want the original media its an extra $50). You will get the original Leopard disk though. The HD has been upgraded to 300Gb 7200 RPM and for an extra $50 I'll throw in the original 80Gb HD. Memory is 2GB (installed by Apple). I'll also throw in the NEW unused power cables from my new Mac. The remote is from the old MacBook though (new ones don't ship with it). So compared with a new MacBook White, you get more than double the standard HD with faster read/write and Office 2008. The rest of the specs are the same in a virtually new machine. Buyer pays actual shipping costs (I'll ship in the new Macbook box)

Newly converted PC user (used PC's for 15 years). I highly recommend MACs now. They're just so fun to use. In the spirit of fun, here's a fun video. Enjoy!!!

I'm not sure that all computers are made in china, certainly commercially made ones. I try to avoid big brands period.
You cant achieve perfection, however you can do the best you can. If a company has been proven to be using slave labour, I will boycott them.
