the article talks about the way eating 500-550 calories a day doesn't help the obese because after the initial weight loss, their metabolisms stay in this "fasting" mode and try to hold onto every calorie they eat.
who would guess? eating healthy and NOT starving yourself is the way to go!;) this is old news to everyone on 30BAD though...
