Does everybody have a soulmate?

A lot of people meet their 'soulmates' while they were still teens and got married, and lived together ever since while I do find people who are in their 30s or 40s and are still struggling to find 'love'. What is the actual truth of these concepts? Why do some people find love and others don't?

I think western culture has been changing the past 80 years, and it has its ups and downs. I do think soulmates exist but more as an archetypal experience. I have highly sensitive personality traits and been reading up on my experiences in life.

Let me quote something: "But so is essential spirit, the deeper, juicier, bodily-instinct level that nourishes the drier, more practical prevailing spirit. HSP's intuit the critical need for essential spirit as well. And we sense that one of the openings through which essential spirit reaches the surface of life to revive ourselves and society is through falling in love"

"It is as through HSPs and filing in love generally are both conducts of essential spirit. We were made for each other."

"The ego wants to sacrifice itself to something larger - not just one's beloved, but to the relationship, to the new child it has created, to love itself, the Beloved, Universal Being.

I'm aiming at building a loving family in which all members build each other up and work hard om bettering themselves. I think relationship work is mostly personal development work. You can create an relationship that so healthy and interdependent on each others journeys that you want to hold each other till the end. Biology has its timing, while time in the mind is a more fluent concept.

My experience has been the more authentic and developed I am the more I resonate with with some and move away from others. I see a lot of value in traditional structures of family values to raise happy and healthy children and find meaning in responsibilities as a men, holding the love and kindness of a women.

Keeping it short.... in pursuit of essential spirit as well :)

  • I'm not sure it works that way, but the romantic in me wants to believe there is someone or someones who line up in such a perfect way that it feels so.

  • No, soulmates don't exist.  Some people are just compatible with each other and some aren't.  Depends on the individual how picky or hard to get along with they are.

  • What are your Hobbies?
