more date trouble

Hi I have only been a vegan since Tuesday !! I was a meat loving dairy eating Brit (Kent) until I came across Durianrider by accident !

I just managed to get some dates but I have just realised they have glucose syrup on them -does that mean they are no good and I should give them away ? I brought 5 packs oops!

    That's a good idea I'll try to return them first ! They said fresh dates ? Obviously not very fresh !!

    I would give them away if I could afford to buy other stuff, they are probably cooked.  Can you return the unopened packs?
