Starting today, I am going to try for 5 days on banana island!
I'm still pretty new to HCRV and I love my smoothies, but I think it is time for me to get back to the basics and just eat some fruit! (And I plan on supplementing with lettuce.)
Here are my bananas for the workday - I think this will get me through the day, if I need more I will make sure to bring more tomorrow! I am very excited ^_^

So last night, my final meal for Day 2, I didn't plan ahead well enough. I found myself starving and without any bananas. So I stopped at Chipotle to grab a quick vegan burrito. Well, it made me so sick to my stomach and gassy. I am thinking that it wasn't very vegan. Anyway, lesson learned. Today I feel much better and I might have over packed bananas around with me today. ^_^
Gorgeous bananas Katy!! :)
I'm so happy for you and your five day banana island adventure!! Please share your progress!!
Cheers!!

Thanks, I am very excited!
I will post tomorrow with an update. ^_^
I wanted to ask... when you supplement with lettuce, do you eat the lettuce between your banana meals? :)
Good Luck to you!! you're gonna do great!!!
I use crisp romaine as a snacky thing in between meals usually. Sometimes you need that satisfying crunch, right?
Hi Katy! I will be starting banana island as well! My bananas are not ripe at all right now, they're like light green and some yellow, so will probably be ready in a few days, depending on how they ripen. I am so excited! I have been RT4 for about 8 months but want to give my body a cleanse and to speed up my healing process. I have been struggling at a hiatus lately with no ability to lose fat/water unless I calorie restrict, which I DO NOT want to do whatsoever. I am not going on this BI for weight loss though, but maybe some water loss would be good. I do better and feel better on raw, so maybe after BI I will stick to raw, who knows!
I am going to be eating only bananas, nothing else, though I will be eating a LOT of them, lol. (around 30 a day). It will help my body focus on healing rather than digesting something else with the fruit. I will of course not stick with BI for too long, as I do not want to become mineral deficient. (maybe will do BI for 2 weeks).
Want to be BI buddies Katy? It would be awesome to encourage each other on our progress and how we feel!
Those bananas look delish btw!
