Hi, I'm going to be attending college in the Back Bay area and wondered if anyone else in Boston has had any luck finding really cheap, fresh produce that they can buy by the case. Thanks so much!

HI GUYS!!!!
So I've been living in Boston for a while, and I usually go to Haymarket on Fridays or Saturdays. This is a market where vendors get the seconds from wholesale markets and sell them for super cheap. Today I bought 3 cases of organic mangoes for $6 each, 2 cases of 12 containers of organic raspberries for $10 each, cases of kind of moldy figs for 5 dollars each and normal cases of figs for $24 each. It varies from week to week. In the past I have gotten other awesome things like cases of organic or ripe bananas, cheap cases of organic grapes and so many other things.
I would also check out any asian markets you can find. I typically go to super 88 in allston which is off the b line at packards corner. They always have good deals. I bought a ton of ripe bananas for .59cents/lb. They also have jackfruit and frozen durian and fresh barhi dates.
Also, I usually drive to Haymarket on the weekends so if you ever want a ride to Haymarket, I'd be happy to pick you up. It's nice not to have to drag 50 lbs of produce on the T!!
Hey! I am currently attending college in the Back Bay area! I am able to get maybe not the cheapest produce but I am able to get fresh produce at a reasonable price!! Trader Joe's has bananas for $19 dollars a case which is the cheapest I could find so far! If anyone else has any tips I would appreciate it as well!
