Hi everyone!

so lately to start off eating raw vegan Ive been just eating banana mono meals, but I decided i want a little more variety in my diet. my problem is trying to find farmers markets that are currently open. Right now I live in the Merrimack Valley region (lawrence/methuen) and the farmers markets dont open for atleast another two weeks, I can keep buying at this wholesaler but I really would like to eat more locally grown food.

So I'm just wondering for those of you from this general area where do you normally go to for food year round? I'm willing to drive into boston if needed as well

What do you have set as a staple food item, and where would be the best place to go?

I won't be running, but I'll be cheering at the halfway point, aka the scream tunnel! Let me know if you're running it so I can look for you and cheer you on, but also check out the facebook group Boston Marathon Scream Tunnel Signs (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=327104949215&v=wall) where you can request that we make a sign for you. Someone started this custom sign-making facebook group last year and it was a big success, so we're doing it again this year. I'd love to make signs honoring vegan/lfrv/awesome 30BaD athletes! :D (Note: we'll take requests through Friday 4/15.)

Visiting Boston

My mother and I are visiting Boston to watch the Boston marathon. We will be staying there from the 17th until the morning of the 19th. Are there any good places to get some good quality fruit? Or a nice salad? My mom enjoys going out to restaurants but I'd rather just munch on some fruit in a park.
