please pray for me, i have had the most emotional, and worse week of my life :(
i went away to church camp, which was going well until a storm took the life of a fellow camper, i spent the rest of the time feeling horrible for the family, counselors, and campers that knew the 10 yr old. i almost came home on wed but decided to stick it out. ow i wish with all my heart that i had come home, bc when i got home last night, i found out that my dog had died. he was old, but has NEVER had ANY health problems, and until last week was just as playful as he has ever been. last week he began to favor his shoulder. we took him to the vet, but she said that it was just a pulled muscle. the friend that was watching him said that he seemed to be doing better. i wish that i had come home when i almost did, bc if i had, i would have been here with him. i was not here, and he died all alone
is he in heaven? if so, do you have any biblical info to back it up????
Please help me

ROMANS 8:22-23 King James Version (KJV)
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Why would "the whole creation" yearn for God's kingdom if they had no part in it?
Thank you! That has been the most helpful thing that anyone has said to me :)
Hi Shannon,
There will definitely be animals in heaven. Have a read of Isaiah 11:6-9
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
Animals will definitely be in heaven and, unlike us, because they are not directly guilty of sin, it is my belief that God takes them up to heaven as soon as they die. I also believe that animals will be able to talk in heaven - Eve was not surprised when the serpent spoke in Eden and God also opened the mouth of Balaam's donkey.
I have no doubt that I will see my beloved animals friends again at the end of time when Jesus returns and takes His people up to heaven.
It's also worth noting that there will be NO DEATH in heaven. Animals will be completely vegan, as they were in Eden. God never meant any of us to eat animals and He only allowed the eating of flesh after the flood when all the vegetation was temporarily destroyed. Even in Jesus' time, only clean meats were permitted and only those that had all the blood removed. It's no wonder sickness and disease abound these days - we've completely ignored God's instruction.
God bless and comfort you.
