Hey I am a saved newly vegan...I do not want to debate whether or not Christians should or should not eat meat...I just want some support from fellow believers about my new lifestyle change...I'm struggling right now with dizziness. ..I'm sleepy all the time I'm tracking calories and nutrition in supplementing b12the weight seems to be piling on rather than the opposite and coming from an ED history that is horribly difficult when my pants are tighter and tighter...I know it's temporary I'm trying to stick to primarily raw I'm eating all day long....cooked foods are very heavy on my stomach I need encouragement I guess that is what I'm really looking for

Hey Josiegirl, how are you doing? I am a Christian and also new to this lifestyle. My first five days have been mostly good, but by the evening I start to feel pretty low. I don't have any answers for you yet, but I do offer support.
Besides general health, I'm also in this to lose weight. It hasn't been long enough yet for me to see any results, but they say that if you do this long enough, it will happen. Your body just has to adjust first.
Hi Josie, I am a fellow Christian as well. I know it is very hard dealing with a non vegan Christian family that thinks, "God gave us meat just for us to eat...". Gosh.. So I know how you feel! I've been high carb vegan for 8 months and loving every day. Of course I have those days where my stomach is larger from hindered digestion, due to lack of sleep, dehydration, or bad food combos, but I wake up every morning with a flatter stomach. Its called the Buddha belly lol and it goes away after you wake up usually, unless your digestion is seriously out of whack.
This is because of water retention due to salt, toxins, dehydration, and most importantly GLYCOGEN. After every high carb meal my belly and surrounding areas, thighs especially, get slightly larger/puffier. This is normal and perfectly healthy. In fact, your body NEEDS to do this, it is the process of water being stored in your body due to the conversion process of sugars to glucose/glycogen. Without this process, your body would be unable largely, to use the carbs.of course the puffiness of glycogen will go away gradually after your body recognizes the carbs. If you stick on this lifestyle long enough you won't be able to notice this process much at all.
Just focus on carbing up, unlimited carbs, keep it low fat, no overt fats for max leanness, no salt/low sodium, drink lots of water and get lots of sleep.
You will reap the benefits!!
No doubt about that at all!
