Hair texture change?

Hi everyone!

It seems that my hair is starting to get less curly.  I notice I am having to scrunch it more and more and it still isn't curling as good as it used to.  I could be imagining this, but I do know that hormones can change hair type and I'm thinking maybe my hormones are shifting and trying to balance out which is causing a change in my hair.  I love my curly hair and it helps my hair look thicker too, so I'm wanting it to be curlier!

Anyone have an experience they can share?

Thanks so much and hope your day is beautiful :)

  • Hmm I'm not sure because ever since I've been on this lifestyle, my hair is bouncier than ever before. Recently, I discovered using raw coconut oil for my curly hair. I use just a little of it and it keeps my hair looks glossy. I researched on the net and found out that even people with less hair used it and they're hair grew back. Maybe you should try it and see how it is ;)

  • My hair is getting a little bit less curly, the surface of my hair is more smooth. I think it is mostly because of my fruity diet and also because I do not use any hair products.(just washing my hair few times a week with baking soda)

    • Hi Helena!  thanks for the reply!  I am mainly just curious if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.  I wonder if its a hormonal thing.  Thats awesome your hair is smoother!  that is always a bonus when you have curly hair. :)  I wash my hair a few times a week also.  But I usually just use water or a organic natural conditioner to wash it.  Then sometimes I leave a little conditioner in and scrunch it.  I also sometimes put a little coconut oil or jojoba oil in to combat dryness.  But I'm hoping eventually my curls with come back!! :) I haven't tried the baking soda yet.  Does it dry out your hair?  Or does it leave it feeling soft?

    • My hair are a little bit greasy from the nature so baking soda helps me to make them normal- not too dry not too greasy and yes my hair is soft afterwards, just try it and you'll see:). If your hair is dry you can try using baking soda and then lemon juice or just lemon juice without baking soda. I usually put 1tbsp of baking soda in the cup and then add boiling water and leave it for 20-30min and then pour it on wet hair and massage it. I used to put organic avocado oil on the ends of my hair put these days I feel better without anything like that:)
