Advice on hair and skin care, please

I have been "washing" my hair with a baking soda rinse with some tea tree. Then an ACV rinse with some essential oil too. I still don't have down a mix I am in love with though. I went through the greasy phase and now my hair looks great but where did my curls go? :) Did any other curly haired people experience this and what'd you do?

I think I am still detoxing though b/c my scalp is still itchy. It's only been a couple of weeks since I started this. But for months every week I put a mix of oils on my hair and scalp but that just alleviates it momentarily. Generally, raw coconut oil, raw hemp seed oil and a few drops of rosemary essential oil. It's not itchy to the point I scratch a lot and there are no flakes. It's mildly unpleasant but it'd be nice for it to be gone. I scratch a couple times a day maybe.

And what do you use to cleanse and then moisturize your body? Mostly to wash because I think I am in love with raw hemp seed oil. And I added tamanu oil to it for my face. For my face I do the OCM 2-3 times a week and then just water the rest of the time. So far so good. It has helped get rid of some of the superficial acne. I'd love for all the blackheads to be gone though. I do sometimes put fresh lemon juice on my face but can't tell if it makes a difference. But for my body my skin still feels so dry in some areas.

Thank you!

  • Hey!

So I tried the no-shampoo technique with baking soda for a while.. and unfortunately it ust didn't work out for me. My scalp got so irritated it was painful, even after really minimizing the baking soda. Instead I now use the 'no-shampoo bars' from lush, but I'm sure you could get them anywhere else too. They are vegan and all natural! :))

For conditioning I tend to use cider vinegar. It doesn't actually smell once it's washed out so no worries! And I think the oil may make your heair heavy and pull it down which would cause the straightness...?

I'd recommend to just use them once every two weeks or so... and remember your hair will get used to it! It all takes time.. :)

    Good luck!

    xx
