I was on the sad diet and got really sick as a teen which forced me yo starve myself because I could not keep anything down. I slowly went back to the sad diet but eventually went vegetarian. Sadly, I was not knowledgeable in what to eat and went back to the sad diet but still flirted with vegetarianism. I love the idea of eating natural and organic and eventually I weened myself off meat but then was told by a holistic practicioner that I have candida overgrowth and thus started the starvation diet. I really wanted it to work but with eating all that fat and meat I was miserable and taking 30 different supplements depressed me :( so after one month I ate an apple and said no more! I vowed to start my journey in going vegan and heal my body with organic natural foods :) my fatigue lifted as well as my spirits. However, I still lacked the education. So I watched documentaries with my husband, which inspired him to go vegetarian. We joined a local co-op and started this journey together. We are in the first month and love eating local natural food we even went foraging for berries and made syrup :) not vegan but it was fun! We continually thrive for more education and went and bought a juicer to help absorb delicious nutrients. I love my husband and are happy to have his support and to support him in our lifelong health journey! :)

  • Cool, I'm also doing  raw vegan this January and if I've got the momentum would like to do mostly raw until the spring racing season begins in March. Too bad it is winter and watermelons are out of season, by far my favorite, but bananas will do. Good luck!
