My name is Natasha and I originally come from Kazakhstan (yes, I speak Russian) Currently I live in Germany. I have been a Raw Vegan since November 2009. I have been eating exclusively mono meals throughout my whole raw food journey. However, I was consuming pretty much fat in the form of avocados and occasionally nuts. I slipped and went back to cooked vegan after 9 months of being raw (I was struggling with cooked food for about a month). My diet consisted of fruits and fats at that time and I was craving plain non-sweet meals. That experienced taught me a lot, especially how strongly cooked food abuses our bodies... and how important it is to eat veggies and young tender greens, since I had avoided them before. So I started adding large quantities of greens and young vegetables to my diet, and I have been feeling better ever since. Douglas Graham's book has helped me a lot, and I have been a LFRV for quite a bit of time now, and feeling great! Now I eat enough carbs from fruit and always mono (around 3200-4000 calories a day) and occasionally I make large salads. Though I keep my salads as simple as possible (2-3 ingredients usually). However, after having eaten mono for so long, I think the the best one can do on a raw diet is eat mono meals. It is not a big deal to eat a salad occasionally, but I am working on eliminating the salads and eating my vegiies mono again too. I used to have 3 to 4 avocados as a meal before and I have finally overcome my avocado addiction! Now I buy one piece a week if at all. Since I started my raw food journey, I have been consistently excercising. I jog 10-12 km on a regular basis, ride my bike, do weights a little and a lot of bodyweight excercises. I myself have a qualification of a fitness instructor and put great emphasis on fitness in my every day routine.
