The Frugivore started this site to bring together frugivores across the Globe! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
Not much, just support! I'm currently studying abroad in Austria, and I feel like the only one here who doesn't eat meat and dairy, because boy do Austrians love their Wienerschnitzel!
The Frugivore Diet is a fruit-based vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Take care, see you, Sissi
I don't actually know anyone that's moved there. I found Uruguay on a list of places to move to escape America before things get really crazy. Then I started researching it more and they really do make it easy to move there. And it's pretty financially stable. The only downside is that it is huge in the meat industry /: But really anywhere south of the border is fine by me. I have been looking into WOOFing too. There's also that website workaway.com and they have volunteer opportunities with fruit farms too. And some of them are more than just working on a farm so it could be kinda cool (:
Oh I didn't realize you were in Austria for that long! I'm excited for you to go to New York, that'll be an awesome experience for sure. And I'm also glad they have so much fruit for you (: I was studying nutrition but I just wasn't invested in it. Plus, when you learn mainstream nutrition but follow this lifestyle, it gets really hard to invest your time in the bullshit. Dude, I want to go to California soon too! And learn Spanish ahaha I'm actually planning on moving to South America within the next few years. Have you been to latin/south america before?? I heard Uruguay was pretty amazing and super easy to move to. But I honestly don't care where I go. I'd like some fruit bats to come along with me though!
Hi (: No worries! Everything is going pretty well. I started including cooked carbs occasionally at night and it has helped so much. And I've been officially vegan since Jan 7th so I've finally kicked the meat cravings! The longer I eat this way, the more I love it. My palate has started to change and now I crave all these fruits/veggies that I didn't even like before. It's awesome. I'm glad you've found your direction! New York sounds amazing. How's the fruit selection out there?? I've gone through a similar experience just recently. I dropped out of school officially and I'm trying my hardest to get to a warm and fruity place. But I really have no idea what I'm doing. I'm just going to see what happens (:
Cheers!!! Thank you so much!!!! <3 <3 <3
Well it's the bathroom at the Flagstaff KOA (where I work) so if you've ever been here that would be how you recognize the bathroom (: I don't know how much of it is a craving for meat now because I only crave two meat meals ever which are both very salty and fatty. So maybe I'm just craving a salty, fatty meal... I'm not sure ahaha but I watched Earthlings a few days ago and it has certainly helped. I guess I had started to associate meat with food and not with an animal. So now I'm doing well. I even went to a party on Saturday with a bunch of junk food and booze and I only ate a bunch of fruit and veggies so hopefully I'm recovering! I have actually been to the farmers market, I just sort of forgot it existed ahaha I will have to go check that out. And don't apologize about the length of your comments (: When are you coming back to Flagstaff?
Actually no it's not in that bathroom ahaha I've actually never even been in that building. And that's very helpful because I was actually having trouble with the vegan part. I was vegetarian for four years before and for some reason getting off of the meat has been a challenge this time around. But still going strong (: And I know what you mean about the bananas!!! I have been eating unripe bananas my whole life. And is the farmers market on fourth still going on or did it end already? I never even went to the one on Sunday once this Summer )': As for fruits I eat, I eat more dates than anything else. Bananas are probably second, but I can't eat a whole bunch at once or I start gagging on them, it's weird. I might need to try the banana smoothies though. Buuuut my favorite favorite favorite fruits are persimmons and figs. I'll eat those all day every day if I can. And I know what you mean about mangos, Ataulfo mangos are to die for.
That's a great excuse! It's hard not to argue with everyone about it sometimes. Yes I'm LGBT (: Not very active in the community anymore but still very much a part ahaha. Finding LFRV was a process. I read some of Kimberly Snyder's book and that drew me to eating more raw fruits and veggies and less meat. Then I found out about candida overgrowth and started looking for diets to heal my gut. But all of them, as I'm sure you know, are so fatty and meaty and I couldn't get down with that. Then after researching more I found Kristina Carillo-Bucaram and she turned me on to 80/10/10. Once I learned about that I went crazy looking for information and eventually ended up here (: And I'm very glad that I did! How did you find your way here?
Hi Zoe! Small world (: I'm so glad you live in Flagstaff! I feel like I can't find anyone to hang out with that doesn't criticize what I eat or fight with me about how meat is better. And was I right in seeing you're also a part of the LGBT community?
