Hi,
I want to do a bike challenge for the whole month of January. I want to set an amount of kilometres to accomplish over the month and try to get them done. Anybody interested in joining me, we could just post how many kms we did a day/week whatever, or if it is someone who actually lives near me it would be cool to do riding together. Got any ideas on how many kms to attain to in 1month? Merry Christmas Guys, Bethany.

Wednesday- 10kms
Thursday- 8.4kms
So in the month of Janruary I did... 288.3kms!!!!
I think I'll do it all again next month and try and beat this month.
What do you guys think?
Tuesday- 10kms easy
Wanted to tap out 100kms today - failed - did 98.8kms
Nice day for it but the wind got up and I had a head wind home.
Saturday- 12kms
Monday- 20kms
Monday 46.6kms on my Singlespeed.
After my long rides it feels so short (even if I had a head wind home).
It was a good time riding - other riders were more friendly with waves and smiles - probably because its Auckland anniversary day and so a holiday here.
Out early this Saturday morning on my Singlespeed.
72.5 kms
Race tonight - 2 laps = 24kms total. I took my race bike - light weight makes such a difference. Strong winds, head wind up the hills and tail/side wind down the hill and on the flats.
Four of us broke off the front of our bunch. We worked together well. We were 3 going into the sprint and I outsprinted the other 2.
That means I'll be in a faster group next Thursday = more weightloss and more training!!
Monday- 8.4kms
Tuesday- 9 or 10 kms
Wednesday- 40kms again. Was awsome! I have come to really love riding my bike.
I did about 3kms on my normal training bike and realised my computer wasn't working.
Rode home and farted around trying to get it to go. No joy.
Took my singlespeed roadie out. Did 23kms thankfully before the now high winds.
I've entered another event (in Cambridge in the Waikato) on Feb 22nd. Its 100kms. I should be better prepared for it this time.
