If so, it's best to take it easy for at least the first week and let your body use the extra energy to heal. Why risk slowing the healing process by aggravating the injury.
Keep your weight off it as much as possible.
If you really want exercise then try working the bag from a static stance. It will put your heart rate through the roof effectively as anything else.

I am no expert, but it would seem if you were on the floor with your feet up on a couch or yoga ball, that doing crunches would be good.
