how i got fat on cooked carbs

Starch does not make you fat it makes you retain Walter cause of the insoluble fiber wich makes you look puffy in my case it Kind of acted Like sodium on my body i gained about 15 pounds in an all potatoe diet for 3 month (OK not that longbut...) wanted to test that whole cooked makes you fat myth.... And i choose  the potatoe cause it is super low in fat so....

The prove that i Gaines water is i ate only fruit for 3 days (berries and datres and some lettuce too pretty low fat) and all theweight was gone and i wasnt bloated anymore and i just switched from cooked to raw calories stayed the same(4000) so.... If you like starch Mord eat it and if youfeel like getting to big do some fruit days and voilà lean again (i think) 

Butwhat i recognized i felt like high in fruit but was like really hungry Every 20 minutes And i bot terrible chest pain that Lasted for  at least 30 Minutes after starting eating and when i ATE potatoes the pain disappeared so maybe im more like one of the mcdougallers. And McDougall sais in one of his Videos that humans are made to eat starch cause he has special enzymes to break down starch mollecules wich humans have the most of all primates (the foods we were born to eat) wich made me Kind ob question that raw food thing cause there are lot of ppl transitioning to ,McDougall from fullyraw or rawtill4  but i also know that he is trying to make money but he is a "real"doc. So....

  • Yes i,m now More like rawtillfour or fully raw with more Greene ^^ with dates and berries for bfast and lunch and some potatoes and mushrooms with pea tomato pesto and a big salad or a Salas and a nother datorade

  • Is it all in my mind, or are all starches not created equal? I think I am retaining water on russets and not gold potatoes. :S

  • I think this is why eating some raw and some cooked is better all the way around. I don't get puffy eating cooked carbs and I love eating them. I also love berries/fruit and eat as much as I can as often as I can. I don't like to think of diets as an all or nothing deal, that can lead to rather extreme experiences. I admire you experimenting like that to find what works best for you, that's a really good idea.

  • So by eating cooked potatoes, you got bigger but technically you lost fat percentage !

  • mmm yeah i get hungry like every 20 minutes when i eat raw too!

  • Sleep on starches 8 hours (couldnt sleep verY good)
    Sleep on raw 10 hours +( better sleep)
    Calories in both 4000
    Activity: 2hours biking a day weightlifting 3 x a Werk
    And i know 3 days is not that good and i think the chest pain came from the quick change or so and i didnt mean that everybody gets bloated in starch just in my case lol
    But im going to continue doing atleast rawtill4 cause we have a Heck lot of dates and apples available At the Moment *~*
    But i ll have to switch to starches in the Winter...
  • I eat starches everyday and they don't make me puffy at all.

    • my cholesterol went up from 169 (no starches) to 217
      10 months on starches
  • You have to eat raw for more than 3 or 4 days to see all the benefits, resolve digestive changes or to make any conclusions about raw vs. cooked, lol. 

    Plus how many calories were you eating on raw and were you proper food combing and what was your sleep and water intake and daily activity? 

    Keep experimenting, but make sure that you are following all the recommended lifestyle factors as outlined with each diet and give them each 3 months minimum before moving on.
