I was 100% LFRV for like 6 months in the past, but with little variety and not very good quality. Well, I thought I was getting an acceptable quality fruit, but now I realized I wasn't.

Then I moved on to the McDougall's diet (eating tons of potatoes, winter squash and/or rice).

I moved back to Israel last week, and since doing so I've been eating ALL raw again, and EFFORTLESSLY. Without craving any cooked food.

How do I do it? Well, YOU tell me.

I'm able to get superb quality of watermelon, nectarines, grapes, cantaloupes, plums and 3 or 4 varieties of DATES, all pretty cheap.

For the first time in my life I tried FRESH MEDJOOL DATES, and they're FREAKIN' AMAZING. The best thing? They're 8 dollars A KILO.

I'm able to get a kilo of fresh deglet noor dates for 5 dollars!! ISN'T THAT AWESOME!?

And the vegetables are SO good quality too. I was used to eating tasteless tomatoes, bitter cucumbers and pesticide-tasting carrots. Well, all those vegetables are dirty cheap here, and so yummy.

I've been eating salads both for lunch and dinner, including tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, beets, etc.

Oh, I can't explain you, you should experiment this by yourself, but now I SEE what it feels like to live in a tropical-like country.

  • Wow that's what I'm looking for! I am going to visit Isreal this year. Can't wait to see the produce, what do you think is the best month to visit and find great fruit?

  • yeah i hated tomatos till i grew my own. With lots of other fruits and veggies it was much the same selecting the good stuff makes all the difference in the world. I've been known to buy lots of apples only to take a bite out of a few and toss the rest cause there not up to par. Or if i'm elsewhere and cant find good veggies I get angry at the stores that sell what they call veggies etc.. I've become a bit of a fruit and veggie snob.

  • Okay cool we're all coming to Israel to visit you!

    • That'd be great :P

In the neighborhood where I'm living at there are many people have mango trees and they produce fruit like crazy. There are also a lot of people who have passionfruit and fig or pomegranate trees. Everything grows easily in the Holy Land!
