Hello,
I have been vegan for about a year and a half now, and I have a pair of Blundstones that I received about 2 years ago (before I was vegan). They were expensive, and I wear them almost everyday because they are so comfortable and versatile. Being vegan, I know I am not supposed to wear animal skins, however really don't want to get rid of them becuase they are my favourite shoes and I had got them when I wasn't vegan.
Am I being hypocritical by wearing them?? What would you do?
Thanks everyone!

Think as well of the environmental side of it. The carbon footprint of a leather product is massive anyway, but to replace a perfectly good item only makes it bigger and more damaging.
im also still wearing leather shoes that i bought when i wasnt vegan...along with non vegan cosmetics as well. it bothers me. but what also bothers me is how wasteful society is, which is also damaging the enviroment. in my case, if i absolutely didnt want to sport leather shoes(and i dont.).id throw them away and buy vegan ones. but that also doesnt make sense does it? because an animal has already died for the shoes you wear, and money has already been spent for them. to just throw them away would be so wasteful and even more disrespectuful to the animal and the earth. unless you gave them away to another person? but like you said...they were expensive. so just wear the D*** shoes. wear them until you cant wear them anymore, and then just make all of you next future purchases vegan. Thats what im doing
