Planning to move to Raleigh, North Carolina, any other fruits living there?

Hey there fruits and nuts, I'm currently visiting Raleigh NC and plan to move here next month. I would appreciate any advice fellow 30BADers might have about this region. Where can I get fruit? Where can I go on adventures? Who still lives around here?
