Protest against mosanto this Saturday morning!
If you are living near Johannesburg and you like food, please come and protest against Mosanto this coming Saturday morning! Help inform people about the need to get rid of GMO completely. Or just come in and help support the efforts in some ways, bring your music instruments and help us to be heard! If we like foods, we better be efficient in getting rid of GMO within the next few years or we would be forced to eat it due to cross contamination! The march will be outside Monsanto's offices…

Hoping to meet you guys at the Vegan festive fest in Cape town on the 19th
Cool to hear some action in this group. On 13 december in Fernkloof nature reserve in Hermanus we are holding an Holistic Faire, with a big taw salad bar, hand bound books on the topic, etc. Fresh squeezed juices, etc Also, all the things that go with an Holistic Faire - natural therapists, reiki etc. Maybe see you there..
Hi guys, for any cape town vegans please check out this SA vegan society event: https://www.facebook.com/events/1202674613079732/
Looks like there hasn't been much activity in this group for some time. I'm studying at UCT and would love to meet some fellow vegans in the mother city :)
Okay great, are we talking a weekend or a whole week? Running up to xmas or in the New Year? What are your restrictions, Stefan?
I'm also in for a mini-fest in Hermanus. :-)
Howzit everyone
I live in Hermanus.
Stefan where is CH?
He he! And at least it was a vegan restaurant! :-)
Hi Galina
Sorry about the link!
My sister is Miemie du Plessis and I think her house is in High Street. I don’t think she's been in town for a while tough. She lives in Pretoria and is the children's book publisher for LAPA Uitgewers. I do some translation work for her now and then, but unfortunately it's not enough to keep the pot cooking. I would LOVE to be able to work from home, but don’t know how I'm going to do it. I dream of moving back to Kaapsehoop (close to Nelspruit on the escarpment), and if I can work from home it might just be possible. Do you enjoy your work?
We live in a suburb called Briza in SW.
Oh, my partner and I actually decided not to go to Mary-Ann's again. Her food is just way too fatty and salty! It wasn't like that the first couple of times we went there (more than two years ago), but she suddenly started covering everything in oil, nut dressings and salt. And her books actually got me interested in healthy eating! She's doing a great job, I'm very grateful for the interested she sparked in me, but wow, just can’t handle eating that way anymore.
I'm going to send you a friend request if you ant to chat more. :-)
Great 'meeting' you here!

Wow, you live in Napier? What do you do there? My sister has a house there - maybe I can visit you someday. :-)
