Inspiring quote from the Dougster on staying raw during winter

You live in the United Kingdom part of the year. Do you have struggles with staying raw in the cold? How do you find enough fruit there?

I have no struggles staying raw, wherever I go. It is like staying in a relationship, as far as I am concerned, or anything else that you really want. If you want it, success is the only option. I build my life around the knowledge that I eat raw food, exclusively. Cold has never been the issue of winter, as it is 70 in my house year-round. The issue is food quality, which invariably goes down during the winter months. I have found good suppliers, and even the grocery stores offer great variety nowadays.

It is true, the success you have with anything is dependent on your mindset... his analogy with relationships is very nice! It is a commitment, and if you have made the choice for yourself, then it is like you don't even see the other stuff around you, like cooked food. :)

  its a big province. I was asking in case I'd be able to offer any suggestions in finding better produce, that is all.

  lol I'm near Hamilton... we have alot of zehrs, metro, those kinda stores. they havent had much good ripe fruit these days. I found a place about 20 mins away that carries a good brand of organic bananas and fruit, but they dont always have things in stock, and wont order in anything special...
  
  Someone told me about a great organic place in cambridge though! I havent had a chance to go check it out yet, but soon :)

  since you live near toronto you should be able to find good deals on decent fruit since its the distribution hub of eastern ontario and even some maritime provinces. have you looked into finding wholesalers yet?

  i've only found one in my area so far, and they dont stock anything orgainc... I'm not that close to toronto, well I am, but not close enough to be going there all the time that is :(
