  • Finished book 1 on Saturday, just started book 2 today.

    Intend to place myself in a position of self/natural sufficiency in the next few years.  Now studying all I can find on permaculture so I will have the knowledge to help create a fabulous fruit forest when I am on suitable land.:)

Vedruss birthing rite VS Lotus birth

Enthused by one of the earlier books, I had begun to look into natural child birthing methods.  Lotus birthing (leaving the placenta attached until it is naturally released) made a lot of sense to me.  Hence, I was slightly disappointed to find that the Vedruss birthing procedure in the 'Rites of Love' book involved immediately cutting the umbilical cord with a knife.What are your thoughts on this?Also, the bit where the father sucks the mucus for the baby's mouth and nose made me cringe. :) …

Kin's domain community- Who shall be the Kin?

The kin of the community would all have to follow a similar lifestyle.  The more specific we get, the fewer suitable people are available.  When you get to the stage of having to be a ' Low-fat-raw-vegan, Ringing Cedars-lifestyle lover', doubt there are that many of us around!:)For me, they would have to at least be into cruelty-free living, have a willingness to participate in community gatherings/Rites, desire the same child education system.  What would you require from your potential kin?At…

Location, location, location! Where best to establish a Kin's Domain?

Being British, it is much easier for me to purchase land in the EU.  Portugal has come out top so far in my investigations.  You can get cheap land centrally but prob worth paying more for better growth conditions further south.Tropical would be idea for year-round fruit production (most important for LFRVs) but much more intricate in terms of securely owning a property and becming a citizen of that country.  Have lived in Thailand for a year and could imagine creating somewhere in SE Asia if…
