I decided to try again with green smoothies to increase my green leafy intake. I'd given up making them some months ago as I disliked the 'grainy-ness'. Just too chunky for me to enjoy. All the vids showed lovely smooth well blended greens. Mine had too many bits in it. Not too pleasant. I felt really jealous of those with powerful blenders!
All the vids I had seen showed fruit in first with water then greens put in on top. Decided to reverse the order...voila! Smooth yummy well blended smoothies :)
So if you are having a similar problem try putting the greens in FIRST with water. Blend. Then add bananas (or other fruit) one at a time through the top as it continuously blends.

Those words could have been mine. My blender is a cheap-o from Craigslist.
I second the greens going in first. Cheap-o managed to get the job done that way as well. = )
