Hi all, I am still new to the site and not really sure where to post this, figured this might be a good place to put it so other people in the Chicago area can see it...
Below is a link to a "collective" building where many food producing start ups and indoor farmers reside in. They transformed an old meat packing building into this newly purposed one.
They have an anerobic digestor that generates electricity off of the bio waste from the building, its all sustainable.
It's a very cool idea and they take volunteers on the weekends too if anyone is interested in helping out!

This is amazing and sooo freaking inspiring! Thanks for sharing!
Of course! I couldn't keep this to myself haha!
I actually met a guy who works there a month ago at Goose Island brewery (before I went RAW, lol) He told me about it and I had the same reaction. As I am not "in" the city its hard to find time to get down there and help out. So I figured this would be a good way to give it some exposure.
I know a lot of the businesses are still starting up but these types of places will be excellent for getting organically, sustainably grown foods in the city.
