hi! does anyone have an easy hair pomade recipe? i have very straight hair, in a pixie cut and need a natural pomade/gel type recipe to sort of give me some body and structure. aloe is great for about an hour and then doesn't get the job done. coconut oil gives a little definition but leaves it limp. i know there are products out there with tons of ingredients but i don't want to use them anymore.any suggestions?

I've heard about using flax seeds, grind them up, add water and heat, but you should look up the recipe to be sure. Makes sense since flax ground flax seeds are a binder.
thanks. i grow aloe and it works great for about an hour or two, then i guess it gets absorbed into my hair and my hair is all flat again. going for a more rustled outta bed look, maybe i should mix it with something.

Aloe vera gel. Look for a brand without additional ingredients or you could even grow your own plants.
was thinking some more about this, and mango kept coming to mind.
it's sticky and turns gel-like in a pie, for instance. But it would seem to leave some unsightly orange particles in your tresses :)
Then I found this:

After just a glance, it appears to be vegan, though you'd have to do your own research and decide if it's a wise thing to apply to your hair.
