    • yeah! whenever freelee makes it on her videos it looks so good but when i make it, it turns out weird lol. i think it depends on the quality of the dates for sure

  • Hi Ivy-

Add berries & blend. Raspberries work really well here because they are naturally a bit tart and contrast with the very sweet dates. Strawberries too!

Also, I am particularly fond of datorade blended with celery. The salty/sweet combo is really good and a little different and, again,  simply not SO SWEET :)

In the past Freelee has suggested blending in some orange juice, I've never tried it & the combo is a little a little hard for some people (mixing acid fruit with sweet), but it sounds delicious and maybe your stomach will be able to handle it.

OK, also apples blended in makes for a kind of caramel-apple flavor.

And... I once got through a Pittsburgh winter adding in some cinnamon  to my datorades. Not everyone is on board with cinnamon but it helped me find some tasty variety & stay raw when that was my highest priority.

    I hope this helps :)

    Best, Sultana

    • great those are awesome ideas! the berry idea sounds really good :) i tried adding a banana the other day and it was really good too. it stopped it from separating as much

      thanks for the help!
