Anyone here close to Kansas City?

Newbie here, looking for like minded friends and possibly more near KC area. 

I know virtually no vegans in the area and would love to!

Posted a long intro in Meet and Greet, so I won't bore you with the story, but please feel free to say hi if you please!  THANKS!

    I'm in super rural Kansas, KC is 4 hours away. But I'd love to attend any meetups that are created :D

    Hi!

    I live in Kansas City. I'm new to the group, but not to the movement. There are two great vegan restaurants downtown. One, FuD, is mostly high fat. But Cafe Gratitude, which is right around the corner from FuD, has a lot of great low fat raw options. There are a lot of vegans in the area, most of them don't use social media. :P

    I've found durian and jack fruit at the Asian Market in downtown KC's river market. Just FYI for anyone looking. I was excited to find these. :)

    I bike ride at Smithville Lake, and in-line skate at Macken Park (1000 E 27th Ave North Kansas City, MO 64116) on a regular basis. If anyone is ever interested in joining me, company is always welcomed!

    Hi!  I'm close to KC!  I just moved here from the San Diego area (I grew up in KC).

      Awesome!?  How far away are you?  I'm on the east side burbs!  Do you have any kind of vegan network going on already?  I know like one or two vegetarians in the area and that's it!!! :(

      So very glad to "meet" you and I hope we can be friends.

      I'm close to Liberty, MO.  I just moved recently so I really don't have any friends.  My parents and sisters are eating plant-based but not raw.  Have you tried any of the vegan places in KC?  I know of a few....

      awesome, that's a bit of a drive but not too far at all.  less than an hour. i'm in lee's summit.  That's great.  No, I hardly ever go down to midtown or go out to eat, so I'm sad to say I haven't.  Maybe we should have a Meet Up at one of them sometime!  Put the word out and see if we can find any other peeps who want to come.  I am on all the vegan groups I can find on facebook, but I'm very new! lol
