Summer has finally arrived!!! It's time to crank out the fluro speedos, and come join us for a vegan picnic!!! We didn't hold any over winter and spring due to the hit-and-miss weather. But now that it's summer, it's time for us to have some fun in the sun!! We will hold it on Sunday, December 11 at the usual spot at Hyde Park (the south-east corner, which is the corner of Glendower and William Street). We'll kick things off at 1pm.
We will set up a slackline for anyone keen to test out their balancing skills. Plus we'll have frisbees and balls to play with. There's plenty of shade there under the big trees. So even if it's a super duper hot day, it will be a perfect place to chill out :)
For those who
...have never been to one of our picnics before, please come!! Everyone is super friendly. And even if you want to rock up wearing speedos, we won't judge you too much ;)
As for food, because everyone eats so differently, people just generally bring their own food to eat. It can be fruit, lentils, sandwiches, veggies, oreos, cake - whatever! As long as it's vegan, it's fine :). And if you feel like bringing a plate to share, then by all means feel free to do it (but you totally don't have to).
And any family/friends/pets are welcome! Even if they're not vegan, they're still welcome (but just make sure they bring something vegan to eat out of respect to everyone else there).
Ok, so that's about it! I've got to duck off to buy some speedos, but I'll catch you all on Sunday ;)

VEGAN PICNIC ON THURSDAY, Jan 27 at Hyde Park, 4.30-8pm :)
What's the best way to recover from Straya Day? A vegan picnic of course!!
Come join us down at Hyde Park on Thursday for a chilled out evening of compassion and fun :) There'll be slackline, and frisbee, and hackey sack, and whatever else we can conjure up to play!! Who said vegans don't know how to have fun?? We'll kick things off at 4.30pm, and these picnics normally run until about 8ish.
We will meet at the south-east corner of Hyde Park (corner of William and Glendower street). Feel free to bring along friends, family, and pets!! And same deal as usual - just bring your own food along to eat. Whether that be fruit, starches, lentils, oreos - whatever - just as long as it's vegan :) And if you're planning to bring a kale salad to eat, I promise I'll protect you if Sam Kekovich comes along with his flame thrower ;)
I'll catch you all there!!
Happy World Vegan Day!! Ok, so I'm a bit late on the draw - World Vegan Day was more than two weeks ago. But hey, World Vegan Day is so awesome that it deserves to be celebrated more than just once a year! So come join us on Sunday, November 22 for a vegan picnic at Hyde Park. There will be slacklines, frisbees, and some rad vegans to mingle with. Pets are welcome. And if you have any omni friends or family, bring them along too! At least they'll finally realise we're not just some sort of weird cult. Maybe we should bring along a sacrificial banana to freak them out haha.
If you've never been to one of these picnics before, the plan is quite simple - just bring your own food to eat, and enjoy the good times :) It's a great way to meet like-minded people and form some really strong friendships.
We will set up on the south-east corner of Hyde Park (corner of Glendower and William street). The picnic will start at 1pm, and it usually runs until 5.30ish. And if anyone's keen to get their hands on documentaries such as Cowspiracy, Forks over Knives, Hungry for Change, Earthlings, and Food Inc, I'll bring along some thumb drives to give out :)
I hope to see you all there!!

Hi Matt. We just had one last Sunday, but we will be doing some more meet-ups soon now that the weather is warming up :)
If Sam has 12 mulberries on his tree, and he gives 7 mulberries to his sister Judy, how many mulberries will he have left?
None, because someone from our crew would have ridden past later that day and foraged the rest!
Ok, now that our maths quiz is out of the way, come join us for our monthly vegan picnic in the park!! We'll hold it at our usual spot at Hyde Park from 1pm. We'll be set up in the south-east corner (corner of William and Glendower street). If you can't spot us, just call me on 0412 244 834
There'll be slacklines to play on, frisbees to throw, and hopefully we'll have some foraged mulberries for everyone to try :) Feel free to bring friends, family, and pets along too! Even if they're not vegan, they're still welcome to come (don't worry, we will turn them vegan for you haha).
Just bring along your own food to munch on for the picnic, and come enjoy the good times.
Oh, and tell Sam I'm sorry for eating all his mulberries ;)
Can't feel your fingers or toes in your cold house? Then come huddle up with us this Sunday for a vegan picnic!!! The forecast is for warm sunshine, so a perfect chance to get your dose of Vitamin D.
The picnic will be at Hyde Park from 1pm until sundown. We will set up at the South-East corner (corner of William and Glendower street).
Bring along whoever you like, and pets are welcome too :)
So it will be the same deal as usual - just bring your own food to eat. And if you are feeling in masterchef mode and want to make something to share, then I'm sure people will devour it with gusto.
Izzy will set up a slackline for anyone keen to test out their balance, and I'll bring a Frisbee along too :)
If you've never come to one of these picnics before, it's a great chance to connect with like-minded people.
I hope to catch you there :)
Hi everyone! I'm totally new to Perth (and this forum), and would appreciate any advice on where to purchase fruits and veggies in bulk at a reasonable cost. I'm looking into transitioning to the 80/10/10 lifestyle from a vegetarian diet and would appreciate any tips and tricks on how you guys make it work in Perth! :D Totally keen on coming to the next picnic I see you guys do often :)
