After the WFF this year (and then going to CSW right after that too) I've really grown to enjoy the 80/10/10 community and so to help it grow bigger here in Toronto, I've started a fruitluck meetup group. Currently I've scheduled a fruitluck on Sept. 28 at High Park, and hopefully will aim to have at least 1 fruitluck each month if possible. Hi Robert. It is great that you have started this group. Have you found others like ourselves? I just found this group and would be interested in coming to the fruitlucks... but would wait until spring, if there is another fruitluck planned.
I noticed a few people on the Thai Fruit Festival list who live in the GTA and am curious if you have met or been in touch with any.
One thing I am curious about: have you found some wholesale place to order produce? I have looked at co-op's on line but none deliver out here in Peterborough. We do have a co-op here that provides 'boxes' each month, but they usually contain some things I don't need... because they are really just selling local produce. I am interested in buying 'tropical' produce...by the case, for some items, and have considered we may need to start our own co-op / buyer's club. What are you thoughts on that?
